It was a rainy evening, the the sky was threatening and cursing, promising hail and brimstone, that was coincidentally the day I was to become a secondary school Student, Holy Family College, Oku Abak, Akwa Ibom State, aceh was the school.

Well decked in my immaculate White on white uniform, a pair of short and shirt (for junior students), with my black Metal Box on my head, trotted in to the School Compound like it was my father's compound, ignorant of any activity, person, just conscious of myself. The anxiety and excitement was rife, my happiness could not be contained in my heart that if there were a way, I would have rented a spare heart to carry along extra happiness of becoming a secondary school Student.

Was it still raining when I arrived the school gates? Yes, serious download of rain but somehow it didn't succeed at making me feel bad, I was escorted inside the school premises by my mom who was completely overwhelmed with mixed feelings, that of joy and sadness, uncertainty and the thought of losing me to the boarding house, I didn't seem to sympathize with her plight.

Then after all the excitement and joy, I was checked into my hostel and mom gave me a parting hug and off she went away in controlled tears. This was when it dawned on me that the struggle in life was certainly very real. Shouts and orders from senior students changed my mood almost with the speed of light ,
"Run down here before the count of three"

A short, fat senior student barked at me, I never quite understood what secondary school had in stock for me, I Strolled honourably to him and this got him very angry, well I didn't care, then something landed on my face like pieces of igneous rocks, it was a slap!

That one slap redefined my destiny and made me believe in our Lord Jesus Christ the no more, was this what I was excited about?
What a mood swing occurred there right before this my brand new Oppressor. image
