Reputation is the 6th album from Taylor Swift which officially released in November 2017 ago. The first 4 albums from Taylor Swift in the pop country genre, in the fifth album, 1989, Taylor Swift drastically changed the music scene by taking the electro-rock genre even rock. Even if you follow the development of Taylor Swift songs from the beginning, maybe realize that this change will indeed happen, because in the 4th album we have started to hear the influence of electro music in songs like I Knew You Were Trouble and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
Compared to the 1989 album that has elements of rock music, especially in the song Style and Out of the Woods, on Reputation album, Taylor Swift sounds more "calm" because the focus of this album is just pop electro. But the truth is, whatever genre that Taylor Swift stretches to his album theme, Taylor Swift's greatest strength is not just in music, but from the lyrics.
The first single from this album is Look What You Made Me Do. In the video clip and song we can hear the phrase "I'm sorry the old Taylor can not come to the phone right now, why? Oh 'cause she's dead", the sentence may actually apply only to music, but not to lyrics. Because like the previous albums, the lyrics of Taylor Swift songs on Reputation album still themed "telling stories", "vent" and "dramatic".
In terms of music, Look What You Made Me Do, taking samples from the old song Right Said Fred titled I'm Too Sexy, the music is also made catchy like the first single on the 1989 album, Shake It Off. Uniquely, just like Shake It Off from the 1989 album, in music, the song Look What You Made Me Do also does not sound like the other songs on the Reputation album. Perhaps because it has been prepared as the first single, this song is made different, like to take attention, but not to convey a message.
The End Game song which is the 2nd track on this album, was released as the 3rd single. The song features rapper Future and Ed Sheeran. In this song Ed Sheeran does not sing, but rap like Future. In the iHeartradio annual event, Jingle Ball yesterday, Taylor performed this song and surprised his fans by bringing Ed Sheeran onto the stage.

New Year's Day is the 4th single, this song was first performed live by Taylor on Tonight Show show with Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Fallon even cried after Taylor Swift finished bringing the song. This song is the only ballad song in the Reputation album. The music only uses the piano. And the lyrics are still "telling" about Taylor's desire to stay with her lover despite the many obstacles that will interfere.
Gorgeous, is a song that is often played by Female Radio, though not (yet) the official single, but Taylor Swift posted a lyric video of this song on his youtube channel. In this song Taylor tells about the feeling of falling in love when he still has a lover. Dress and Call It What You Want also has a theme similar to Gorgeous.
Taylor's frequent girlfriends' reputation may be the focus of media coverage, but Taylor is also well known as a good boy, never getting into drugs or legal issues, being close to the fans, being close to family and having lots of friends in the artist, especially fellow singers and models. But in this Why We Can not Have Nice Things song, we can hear the more naughty Taylor, the lyrics in this song thick with sarcastic sentences.
My favorite song on the Reputation album is called Getaway Car, apart from music which is a kind of synth pop music and a gated reverb drum beat (the 80s beat) that makes this song more stand out, how Taylor writes lyrics that really tells stories, and makes me can imagine scenes like in action films.
Print and electronic media such as Rolling Stones, Pitchfork, NME, The Daily Telegraph, averaged 4 of 5 stars for the Reputation album. If I as MD Female Radio should give an assessment, maybe also not too much different
