Onions falling out of the air during the airdrop (Newcomers edition)
First of all: Hi and welcome to this great community of the DeepOnion!
Probably you've decided to take part of this community because of your interest in the weekly airdrop given by the dev's. I think that's a fair idea. Most of the new members are interested in our airdrop system, which is very progressive. This article will teach and learn you how to participate. I will tell you about the moments of the airdrops to take place, the terms and conditions you have to meet and the expectations to have.
THE MOMENTS OF THE AIRDROPS
There will be weekly 2 moments for the airdrops to take place. Both of the airdrops are different from each other. One airdrop is based on the amount of DeepOnions you have and the other airdrop is based on the time and effort you put in the community. It's the Friday's airdrop and the Sunday's airdrop.
THE DEEPPOINTS AIRDROP (Small Airdrop)
Let me start with the last airdrop. This airdrop is based on the amount of DeepPoints you've gained. Do not get confused. This is not the OFFICIAL airdrop. There are DeepOnions and DeepPoints airdrops. You can earn DeepPoints by your activity and contribution with the community. This can be writing articles, translating threads, editing videos, making memes/logo's, sharing idea's and lot's of more creative stuff. You can also gain DeepPoints by reacting on threads, creating threads/polls and participate with Deep domination tasks. Deeptasks are tasks created by the dev's to promote the deeponion. These tasks can be like: Write a review on a certain webpage. If you decide to participate with this task, the moderator asks you to put your proof into a comment. Most of the time this would be a screenshot. You will gain a lot of DeepPoints for this tasks, which will result in a lot of DeepOnions.
This airdrop can be participated by every member of the community. There are no rules except: No farming. Farming is:
Intentional approaching other members to like your comments/posts.
Making a second account to like your own comments and send all DeepPoints to one account.
Spamming to get more points. Cause for each comment you post you'll get a certain amount of DeepPoints.
Making bad quality threads/posts.
These points are against the rules of the DeepOnion community, which will result in being blacklisted or even banned.
THE DEEPONION AIRDROP
The DeepOnion airdrop is an airdrop based on the amount of DeepOnions you have. You will get a certain percentage over the onions you already have. This will be around 6 - 7 %. Special people and mods can have a factor airdrop. This factor can reach a maximum of 5X. The total amount of airdrops is 40 and the last airdrop will be in april next year.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These are the official terms and conditions released by on of our moderators.
(1) In order to qualify, you must be a member of bitcointalk.org, at least at Jr Member level, registered before October 1, 2017. You must wear DeepOnion signature during the course of all airdrops.
(2) You must be a member of the deeponion forum (deeponion.org/forum).
(3) You must post at least 5 messages in bitcointalk.org and 3 messages in deeponion forum each week (minimum posts 50 characters, off-topic section not counted). Failing to do so will disqualify you from the current airdrop, but your account will not be banned.
(4) Distribution will be based on the ONIONs you have in your account, you must have at least 100 ONIONs to qualify.
(5) All coins you have will be freely tradable, including the ones you receive from airdrop. No more 90% hold requirement.
(6) You are allowed to change your ONION address, but only one address per account. Furthermore, only the balance on this address counts.
(7) There will be one distribution day (24 hrs) per week for airdrop. During that time you should not move your coins. Any account found moving away coins will be disqualified for the airdrop. Account where the balance increases during the day are OK, but the earliest detected amount (thus the smallest amount) will be used as the base for distribution.
(8) We will still have the factor group for people that contribute significantly and forum mods, the maximum factor will be capped at 5X, and limited only to the first 10,000 ONIONs.
(9) Distribution of the airdrop is proportional to the equivalent ONIONs in each account, at the time of the distribution. The equivalent ONION is calculated by the following formula:
For balance <= 10,000 ONION, equivalent ONION = factor X ONIONs in account
For balance above 10,000 ONIONs, the first 10,000 ONIONs is calculated as above, rest amount is multiplied by a factor of 1.2 (for everyone) to get the equivalent ONIONs.
For example, for a person with 20,000 ONIONs not in the factor group, the equivalent ONIONs are 22,000 ONIONs; if you are in the 2x group, then this equivalent ONION will be 32,000 ONIONs.
(10) All banned accounts from previous airdrops are not allowed to participate.
(11) All accounts declined previously will be allowed to re-apply. As long as you satisfy the above conditions, you will be auto-accepted, no manual review any more.
If you comply with this requirements, you will be free to participate. But keep in mind that: every Tuesday till Friday there is a no move period. This means you may not move your DeepOnions. This is to determine the amount of DeepOnions you'll get by the airdrop. If you move the DeepOnions within that time you automatically don't participate anymore!
THE EXPECTATIONS TO HAVE
This will be a personal touch to this article. I've seen that newcomers do have expectations. They expect to get hundreds or thousands of free DeepOnions. I have to say that this isn't the right thing to expect. If you are a newcomer expect the least. This is the right way to make the airdrops better than expected.
