Human Immunity: What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger!

THE HUMAN IMMUNITY

Humans are very strong creatures. It has been proven time and time again with the evolutionary trends of our health and well-being. However, what Makes us particularly outstanding is not our brain, it's our Immunity.

Everyday we come in contact with millions of germs. These microorganisms are in the form of viruses, bacteria, fungi and lots more. They are everywhere.

The air we breathe is not pure. The food we eat is super contaminated even though we don't see them. What of the ones that enter through our skin and all the orifices of the body.

This is exactly why a little lapse in Immunity either genetically or through a compromising disease like HIV/AIDS can render havoc to a man once it has successfully depleted the last gate of the body's defence.

HOW DOES IMMUNITY WORK?

There are many different mechanisms by which we are kept safe from health hazards on a daily basis. Take for example the gastric acid in the stomach. In addition to helping to digest food, this acid aids in the termination of ingested germs through food and drinks. By a similar mechanism, lactic acid is found in the vagina thus helping to keep it clean.

The skin itself is a whole different level of biological protection. What we don't realize is that it's a warfare between Invaders and our gracious immune systems. Below the skin are subcutaneous tissues, blood vessels and nerves. These are safe under the thick epithelialized layers.

IMMUNE MEMORY

Perhaps an important aspect of Immunity is the memory capacity. The immune system remembers previous germs so that it can respond quicker the next time it attacks. This is exactly how what doesn't kill you makes you evolve.

Our white blood cells are like soldiers ever ready for battle. They parade the entire blood wait for tips that something is going wrong in any part of the body. Messenger chemicals also called cytokinesis are released during hostage situations and trigger the rapid response of our military defence.

On a final note, the next time you get a fever or a headache, see it as a code being transmitted by your Immunity telling you that something is wrong and that they are working on it. As you swallow pills remember that appropriate medications will help your Immunity but can never be a replacement.

Our immune system is important for our survival. Without an immune system, our bodies would be direct to show aggression from bacteria, viruses, parasites, and more. It is our immune system that keeps us strong as we drift through a sea of microorganisms capable of causing diseases.
Good job guys, more grease to your elbow

Thank you for your poetic contribution!

I agree 100%. I've stopped treating for the flu since I let it cure naturally about 3 years ago. Been 3 years now and am doing great. Think my body has developed some kind of resistance

Our immunities are much stronger than we usually think. Though you should know when to take medicines too! Thanks for contributing to the topic!!

Great post..thanks for the information!
