This was a very informative well written post. I would like to make the following comments. Driverless cars are inevitable unless the auto industry puts money in to PACs which​ could encourage laws to prevent​ their deployment. I disagree with your statement that the auto industry will be devastated​. Auto manufacturers​will​l simply shift their focus to driverless​ cars. Movie theaters are still thriving despite the in-home video​ entertainment​ such as blu ray and streaming. Uber and lIft, and the taxi industries will simply have to adapt. It will take a good 50 years before the adoption of this new technology becomes commonplace​. New technologies mean new​ jobs
