When the new era of industrial revolution started and the machines were introduced, the traditional craftsmen and workers opposed them because they thought it would snatch their employment and means of living. They were wrong. Technology helped economies to grow, which generated various types of jobs. For example it was once feared that computers will make clerks jobless but computers opened new avenues of employment.
But now the situation is different. Robots are not creating jobs. They are making humans jobless. They are agile, free of errors, diligent and cost effective. Why would industrialists not prefer them to humans? People are thinking that robots and AI will make their life more comfortable. What is the meaning of comfort? Is it synonym of laziness? Robots are at restaurant and so will they be everywhere. Future of mankind is definitely grim.
