Ball Control, AGFAcademy drill #5

This is Team Andre bringing you words for AGFAcademy. Wish you all a merry Christmas in advance. So far we have six drills on the AGFAcademy website. If you have never participated before and would like to participate, all you need to do is visit our website and watch all the drills already uploaded on the platform. You can also take a look at our Curatioin Digest posts for some examples on how to participate.

We would like you to know that now is the time to keep practicing the drills; because we do have more interesting updates coming up soon which may require you to showcase all the drills you have learnt from Andre so far in one single video. The essence of this is to show Andre the success of these first drills and giving him a lead on when to upload the next set of drills. The goal is to make you a complete player in a decent playing environment.

We will be updating this blog with two more drills in addition the the four othe drills we have already added over the last few days. The detail about this drills can still be found on the AGFAcademy official website. This blog will contain the fifth drill and in the next few days, we will be uploading the last drill here on the STEEM blockchain.

The fifth drill

Ball Control

One of the most crucial things in football is control; this is most effective in terms of receiving the ball from your team mate while playing. This can be applied within an actual game or during your training sessions. It is vital to master this drill if you want to be that complete player that Andre wants to see in you.

To practice the drill, you need a second person to cross the ball to you, after which you need to time the landing of the ball and ensure that you do not lose the ball while trying to trap it. It’s really simple but it requires a lot of focus for timing the ball and you also need some flexibility. All you need to do is to focus on the ball and quickly decide on what part of your body would be the most suitable to help the ball you are receiving land within the range of your control without losing it to your opponent. It all depends on the angle and direction of the ball you are receiving.

Watch the video from the platform showing Andre and two others practicing the drill and in the end try combining this drill with others such as the volley or the long-range passing.

3. Practice the drill.
4. And then record a video of yourself performing the drill.
5. Upload the video to either YouTube or DTube.
6. Then visit the AGFacademy website again, log into the portal, and paste your video link. You can also use the portal to add text and other images to your post. You can also include a personal thank you message for Andre to read.
7. Ensure that you use the #agfacademy in order to qualify for upvotes from Andre.
   You can also assist in increasing the number of beneficiaries by sharing the post on your social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others.

This is a hint to what an excellent AGFA video should look like;

1. Say hello to Andre.
2. Introduce yourself.
3. Open by stating that you are doing this for AGFacademy and close by thanking Andre personally.
4. Record footage of yourself doing the drills in the instruction video (best if you get a friend to handle the camera for you).
5. Add the AGFacademy logo to your video and blog.
