RE: Why Black Panther Is The Best Marvel Movie Ever & Maybe Of All Time

in #africa7 years ago

Thanks for the awesome review! I can't wait to go and see Black Panther. I'm planning on going next week! One of my friends got me into Marvel a few years ago, Iron Man is my current favorite hero, closely followed by Black Widow.
I'm looking forward to it even more now that I've read your post! :-)

I love Marvel too but I don't consider myself an avid fan. I just like the different characters. Thanks for taking the time to read the review.

I saw Black Panther yesterday! Really enjoyed it, albeit a bit slow at times. @humanearl, it was awesome having so many positive models of how we can all live our lives - no matter what colour we are!
Being a woman, I particularly loved the celebration of women being strong, powerful, techy and able to have a presence in the world as equals.
The different colours of the tribes all assembled on the cliffs as the first ritual combat happened reminded me of the wonderful plethora of African colours and it reminded of the colours of the rainbow which always inspire me!
Thinking about how endangered the rhino is, how brilliant they were in the battle was great - gave me hope for them in some way, they were majestic!
Finally near the end when the 'baddie' Black Panther was looking out over the beautiful African countryside, I was hit by scenes from The Lion King, specifically The Circle of Life song, which is a total favorite!

I'd totally love to visit Africa someday ... it's on the list and I'm saving up for a trip to South Africa in 2023 to see the Rugby World Cup amongst other things! :-)
