Cryptos; cryptocurrency, and Africa have one thing in common, a parameter that sets both terms in mutual agreement, the fact that one operates without a central authority, and the other wishes to bring change to their central government authorities.
Cryptos and Africa
Africa, the supposed birth place of humanity. Having been considered a frontier by many in years gone by, has experienced series of set backs in terms of development and progress.
Cryptocurrency, a wonder technology in this age and time, many may not see it now, but just like the invention of the internet, or the first phone or computer, this new technology signifies the start of something great, something new, something that is going to be world changing in the nearest future (the change is occurring as we speak!).
The past generations talk about how the internet evolved in front of their eyes, how things became what they are, from what they were.
Most times we ask ourselves if the past generation ever thought;
'' hey, this is a wonderful thing, lets use it to change the world''
or they thought
''hey, this is a wonderful idea, lets make money out of it before its flooded''
We realize that people actually followed both train of thought, many using the emergence of a new technology to make quick money and a selected few, seeing this for what it truly was;
Many many years ago, when the internet and computers was still in its infancy, when computers were just starting to come out, men with vision saw and looked at the emergence of a technology(the internet) that could be harnessed to change the way humans lived, the way humans interacted with one another, today, those men are the owners of google, facebook, microsoft, apple, and every other major company which arose in those early years and impact a large part of our lives today.
Africa unchained
The advent of blockchain technology has inherently opened a way for people to move beyond the reliance of the government.
We saw a post by a nigerian about people queuing up in Nigeria for a Job and it breaks our hearts that despite the information that ''steemit'' was available, they didnt pay attention to it, instead focusing on what meager things the government could drop for them.
This is what this account hopes to break.
We understand that technology is growing at an alarming rate, and our current system of government worldwide. Imagine a government run on the principles of what
Blockchain technology
It might be a bit difficult to explain, but herein lies the goal, mission, vision and reason why this movement was born.
Not the use of cryptos, not the storing of cryptocurrency, not for the trading and profit making purposed that many currently use cryptos and their effects for, but the use of the technology the technology associated with cryptocurrecies, the secure near-unalterable technology that is distributed among computers(nodes) worldwide.
blockgeeks gives us a very easy definition of cryptocurrency as limited entries in a database that no one can change without fulfiling specific conditions

Blockchain technology isnt new per say, but a combination of multiple technologies, used in a new and inovative way.
What we intend
This africaunchained movement is for all africans.
We hope to enlighten many to have a vision of how blockchain tech and cryptocurrencies can open africa as a whole to transparency, accountability, in governments and different organisations.
How we go about it
We understand africans are not all that tech savvy, so to help break the ice, we hope to bring africans into the power of crpytocurrencies, and not just bring them in, we hope to educate them on how steemit works, on how cryptocurrencies work and on how blockchain technology works.
For the first phase of our plans, we hope to get africans from all corner of africa through a -not-so-aggressive campaign online.
Through facebook, twitter and other social medias, we hope to spread steemit and cryptos in general to the african community.
Introduction of africans in general to steemit
Introduction of africans to the use of blockchain technology
Teaching them about the power of blockchain technology and the possibilities steemit brings to the table.
Encouraging the opening of empires on the steemit platform.
Teaching about the endless possibilities of steemit and cryptocurrencies in general
We understand that not everyone will get what we are trying to do
Our main goal is to build a set of leaders that will emerge in Africa through the use of technology.
And to get as much africans using steemit as much as possible.
