The first week of Finals are done and they were all pearlers.
Every single one of the games was decided by under 100 points!!
Results:
Qualifying Finals
Medhurst Minions 2339 defeated Dahmsy79 (My team) 2278.
I put up a good fight against the undefeated champ but fell just short.
The Minions are now straight through to the Prelim and have a bye next week
Mmeow 2593 defeated BraphB 2500
Battle of two majorly inform teams here.
This would have to be the first time I have ever seen a team score 2500 and lose.
Mmeow’s 2593 was a ridiculous score and she has sent a real shot across the bow of the Minions ship.
Mmeow into the Prelim now and has the bye next week.
Elimination Finals
Hannibals leftovers 2254 defeated Lockout (@o07) 2194
Despite finishing just under Lockout on the ladder (7th), Hannibals caused a mini upset here to keep his season alive.
The Hannibals will now meet the inform BraphB for a spot in a Prelim Final
Niges Cats 2331 defeated Adro’s Assassins 2268
Considering Niges Cats were in the Top 4 for most of the season it would have been a real shock to see him depart in the first week of the Finals.
Adro’s Assassins certainly gave it a good go and can be proud of his efforts this season.
Niges Cats will now meet myself (@dahmsy79) for a spot in a Prelim Final

As touched on above Medhurst Minions and Mmeow can now put their feet up and relax.
They have the week off while they wait for their Prelim opponent.
The Sudden Death matches are:
Dahmsy79 v Niges Cats with the winner to play Mmeow
BraphB v Hannibals Leftovers with the winner to play Medhurst Minions.
