A bomb has exploded at a mosque in Afghanistan's restive Nangarhar province during Friday prayers. At least three people were killed in the blast on Friday. Besides, at least 15 people were injured. A hospital official told AFP. Atal Shinwari, a local resident, said the blast took place inside the mosque at around 1.30pm local time.
A Taliban official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed the casualties. However, he did not give any details in this regard. No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the blast. However, in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, the militant group IS recently attacked several mosques during Friday prayers.
