I guess the issue with acceptance is simply, that people don't know how to "do" it. They are looking for some practice, while there is none. You could say, that the history of spirituality is not only the search for meaning, but to find out how to accept the unacceptable. Here the key is, that you don't have to like, to be able to love. From there on, your journey will be different...
