IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY

We're all going to face adversity.  It's inevitable.
You have to be careful though when you come face to face with adversity.
Be smart about it.
Sometimes you're just receiving constructive criticism, and the other person is really trying to help you.
But then more often then not, it's just cynicism.
Don't go changing your whole craft or buy into everyone else's idea.
It's usually best to turn a deaf ear to the adversity and move on.
However, this isn't always the easiest thing to do.
Especially considering what we're working on, or trying to achieve is obviously something important.
Here's how I handle adversity.
When the cynicism comes my way I don't get too excited about it, not very emotional.
I kinda just look at it or hear it and think for a second.  "hmm.. that's interesting."
I may question to see if the person really is just being critical to be that way.  Or to see if they're really trying to improve me.
If it's pure cynical I'll move away from that negative source.  Avoid it.
If you find that the comments or whetever the situation was is daunting on you later, then you need to have a moment of understanding about the situation.
Stop to think about it, think about how you're progressing and growing yourself.
Ask yourself is it really worth it to dwell on this negative source.
99% of the time it's not.
Think of it as one more reason to work even harder.
Let your haters be your motivators.
Turn that negative source into your fuel to strive even harder.
So many people finally figure something out, but give up before they ever get going.
Give it some time, and remain positive.
Life's not that serious.
Think about it.
In the end, none of us are gonna make it outta here alive.

Sort:

No one gets out alive is strong motivation to ignore the negatives.

yeah perhaps. I guess it depends on how you look at it. I kinda perceive as a way to not take life too seriously.
