VOLCANO Volume - 1 : An active volcano on Earth

in #adventure6 years ago

A Volcano is an opening on the surface of an earth, which allows to escapes molten Rock ( Magma) gases and debris. A volcano allows material warmer than its surroundings to escape from its superior. When his material escapes, it causes an eruption. The eruption can be explosive or it can be calmer. The volcano can be active, dormant or extinct. Active volcanoes are those that have had recent eruption or are expected to have the eruption in the near future. Dormant volcanoes no longer produce eruption but might eruption again sometime in the future. Extinct volcanoes will never erupt again. There are more than 1500 active volcanoes on the earth. We currently know of 80 or more which are underwater in the oceans. Active volcanoes are found mainly in Hawai, Alaska, California, Oregon, and Washington.

We describe them until the eruption of these volcanos in 2018.

It is stratovolcano (tall, conical volcano composed of one layer of hardened lava, rock-fragments, pumice, and ashes), it is an active volcano located on the border of central java Yogyakarta provinces, Indonesia. It erupts on average every 5 to 10 year regularly since 1548. The last eruption in 11 may 2018.

Merapi means 'Mountain of fire' rises to 9.551 feet (2.911)meters and has steep slopes with dense vegetation. It is the most active of Indonesia's 130 active volcanoes.

Kilauea is the world's most active shield volcano (composed of almost entirely of fluid lava) in Hawaiian island the U.S. which counties to pour lava into the ocean. It is located on the southeastern part of the island of Hawaii in the Pacific ocean. Along with Mounlava, itis a part of Hawaii volcanoes national park.

Kilauea means "much spreading" in the Hawaiian language. The volcano is 4,090 feet (1,50 meters) high. The last eruption occurred in May.3.2018. It is the youngest volcano along five volcanoes of Hawaii, (Kilauea, Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea, Hualalai, and Kohala.

It is an active composite volcano and a former island o Kagoshima prefecture in Kyushu, Japan. It's ongoing typical activities range from strong strombolian to large ash explosions every 4 to 24 hour. Sakurajima's eruptive history has been recorded since the 8th century. Kita - Dake is Sakurajima's highest peak, rising to 1,117m (3,665 feet) above the sea level. The last eruption occurred in Aug 2017.

Colima volcano is one the most active volcanoes in North America and one of the most dangerous one. It is a cinder volcano and is have the most prominent volcanic belt. It has erupted more than 40 times since 1576. The hight of this volcano is 3,820 meter (12,533 feet). The last eruption occurred in Jan 2017. Volcan de Colima, Nevado de Colima and eroded El Cantaro (extinct one ) consisting of called Colima Volcanic Complex ( CVC ).

5.MOUNT CLEVELAND - ALASKA

Mt. Cleveland was also known as Cleveland volcano and one of the most active volcanoes in the Aleutian Arc. It is a stratovolcano, distinctively conical and symmetrical in form. It is situated on the western and of Chuginadak Island, which is part of the islands of four mountains just west of Umnak Island in the Fox island of the Aleutian island of Alaska. Mount Cleveland is 1,730 meter (5,675 feet) high, and one of the most active of 75 or more volcanoes in the larger Aleutian Arc. Cleveland has erupted at least 22 times in the last 230 years. The last eruption occurred recently in 2016 April 16.

6.MOUNT YASUR - VANUATU

Mt. Yasur is a well known and most active volcano in Tanna Island, Vanuatu. It is a stratovolcano, caused by eastward moving Indoaustralian plate being subducted under the westward-moving Pacific plate. It's hight of 361 meters (1,184 feet) above sea level but it is also a most easily accessible live volcano in the world. Mt. Yasur is most active between late February and April during the wet season, because of higher groundwater level can allowing water to come in contact with hot rocks around the magma chamber. Captain James Cook first discovered this volcano due to the flow of magma. It is also called the "Lighthouse of Pacific" because of it's continuous strombolian and volcanic activity since Cook's first sighting. It last erupted in Jan 2016 and normal explosive activity occurred in Apr 2018.

7.PACAYA - GUATEMALA

The strombolian Pacaya is the one of the active volcano in Guatemala out of three Pacaya, Sampaguita and Fuego. The volcano is about 2,562 meter(8,373feet) high and is located 40kilometer southeast of Guatemala city. After being dormant for 70 years, it has been active since 1961 and has been erupting frequently since then. Much of activities is strombolian, but occasional Plinian eruption also occurs. The last eruption occurred in June 2015. It is also an active Complex volcano in Guatemala.

Mt. Erebus located in New Zealand's Ross dependency on Ross Island. It is the second highest volcano in Antarctica and the southernmost active volcano on earth. Erebus volcano features a 1,700-degree Fahrenheit lake, a swirling pool of magma. It is one of one five such lakes that exist in the world. In this volcano, fire meets ice so if escapes volcanic gases. The volcanic gases heat their way through ice caves and escape into the air to form enormous 60-feet chimneys of ice or "Fumaroles" with deadly volcanic gases. It is discovered by polar explorer Sir James Clark Ross in 1841 but polar explorer Ernest Shackleton would make the first ascent of Mount Erebus in 1907. It is always on bubbling and releasing gas and clinging 10 feet wide "volcanic bomb" with a summit elevation of 3,794 meters (12,444 feet). The last eruption occurred in 2011 but remain active during 2011-16.

It is a small island in the Tyrrhenian Sea. North of Sicily Italy is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and famous for its small size but regular explosions. It is visible from the surrounding sea, giving rise to the island's nickname "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean". Stromboli stands 926 meters (3,3034 feet) above sea level. Stromboli is most recent effusive eruptions from Dec 2002 - Oct 2014. The most recent major eruption was on Apr 13.2009.

ErtaAle.jpg
It is a continuously and most active basaltic shield volcano in afar region of northeastern Ethiopia. It is famed for its persistent lava lake which has been active during most of the past decades since it was first discovered in the 1960s. Erta Ale is only 613meter high,50km wide, rising more than 600meter from below sea level in the Barron Danakil depression. The most deadly eruption occurred in 2009.
