Rest Day Well Spent with my Friends

Hello steemians! How was your day? I hope you all had a nice day today. Let me just share to you my experience in ice skating with my friends. We went to SM Seaside- a large shopping mall in Cebu located at South Road Properties (SRP). It is the 3rd biggest mall in the entire Philippines and 6th in the whole world.It was a pleasure to finally step into this luxurious mall. Honestly it was my first time. And I admit, I enjoyed the experience.

Honestly, it wasn't our plan to experience ice skating, because aside from, we don't know how to skate, not all of us had enough money for the entrance fee. The entrance fee is at 420 pesos, it is unlimited admission. But after eating, made up our mind to grab the opportunity, because it is once in a blue moon. We just share the blessing we got from steemit and thank God that all of us entered the skating rink.

While we are still in the preparation area, wearing our skating shoes, helmets, and other protective gears. We are very excited to enter the rink.

I witnessed kids who performed in the rink smoothly and calmly, so I thought that doing such is just an easy job, but not unless I step in the rink. I was so shock. Why? Because I thought the ice is rough, but it is too slippery, making me fell down more often. At first, I was so embarrassed because a lot of people are watching and laughing. But, along the way, it feels like stumbling down is just normal for a newbie. It is so funny watching my friends also who keeps on trying their best to do the right skating, but unfortunately, only 2 out of 15 learned the basics. Hahaha! We just keep on laughing about our experience inside the rink.

At the end, though a lot of us still didn't know how to skate properly, but what we value the most is the bonding and the experience we had in our walk.

We can get a life lesson from this, in our life, we keep on stumbling down. We have a goal in our life that we want to achieve, but the process is not easy. Along the way, we may experience a lot of discouragements, downfall, and unwanted circumstances, but if we try to set our mind to aim for the gold, then we can surpass those problems, we can get through all those trials and claim the victory on wards. NO PAIN, NO GAIN they said. And it is so true! We have to experience those bitterness to claim the worthy sweetness of victory.
