He led Isabel out of the room without saying another word.He walked down to one of the rooms at the hospital that had 'morgue' inscribed at the door.Confused,Isabel asked,“Doc,what are we doing here? Where's Victor?”.He remained mute,opened the door and walked in.Isabel followed him behind, her legs shaking.The doctor pointed to one of the bodies and said to her,“Here,he is”. “Noooo!,” she screamed out so loud that it caught the attention of everyone in the hospital, she suddenly felt dizzy and passed out.The doctor lifted her quickly and took her to the patients' ward,he tried frantically to revive her.Soon,she got revived,but she became dumb for four consecutive days due to the shock.Her younger sister,Winnie, took care of her and the baby throughout their stay at the hospital.
Finally,Isabel got discharged from the hospital. The doctor advised Winnie to take care of her sister and the baby,she promised to do her best.Winnie held her sister with one hand in assistance as she dragged her feet on the ground and held the baby in her other hand as they left the hospital. When they got into Winnie's car which she brought along with her,a phone call came in for Isabel.Reluctantly, she picked the call because the phone number was hidden.“Hello?,”she managed to say.“Did you miss me,honey?,”the caller asked from the other end of the line.Shocked,the phone fell off her hands as she recognised the voice. ‹‹‹‹‹›››››
