Normally, if I see a bee or a wasp heading towards me, I run away screaming whilst frantically waving my hands in the air like a crazy woman. Since discovering macro photography, I am becoming braver as the days go by!
Here, I managed to get up close and personal to some busy bees working away, collecting pollen to make honey at their hive.
Don't forget to click the images for the full screen effect :)
These images are my own taken with my Nikon D5300 using my 18 - 300mm Contemporary lens and edited using photoscape software which you can find free online here: (http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/download.php).
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! If you enjoy my work, I would greatly appreciate an upvote if you have one to spare :)
Much love and peace to you my Steemit friends!
@beautifulbullies (bulldogs) xx
ohhh then you need to watch this video LOL
I am definitely the 'total panicker'! haha this is hillarious! xD thank you for posting this, it has really made me laugh! Brilliant clip! I have seen Michael Macintyre live a couple of times, he is really funny xD
Great photos. Cool bee.
Best wishes.
Thank you so much! :) Best wishes to you too
I LOVE these! I love bees and I love the purple center of the flowers and tiny specks of pollen everywhere. So cool!
Thank you @orangina! :D Glad you like them :)
The magic bees insects not only give us a lesson of what teamwork is, they are responsible for the pollenization by which we feed on the planet, they really cause fear but when it is known as their proverb society and as females they have the power they come to love.
Your images are impressive, beautiful it seems that these friends were posing for you, greetings that you are very well
Thank you so much for your comment! :) I agree, they are so important for our planet, and the fear is irrational. I have to say that taking photos of them close up makes me appreciate their beauty. Perhaps in time I will also be able to get close to spiders ;)
Really great photographs, I'm really glad you 'hung in' long enough to take them and share them with us.
I'm thinking in some cases telephoto is superior to macro. Just sayin'
Thank you @bigtom13 :D yes, I have to say I was a little worried about getting stung, but to be honest, I don't think he really noticed me :) I would have liked to have tried these shots with my macro lens, but I would have had to get even closer, and I am not sure I am ready for that just yet lol
Is it OK with you if I were to use one of your photos in a future blog post?
of course! :) As long as it is sourced. glad you like them :)
Hi @beautifulbullies nice photos, mine was not like yours, hehe. But I'm trying. I still need to learn a lot about it.😂
I have just checked out your work and it is amazing! I love the fly shot where you have reversed your lens, that is genius! :) Great work. I am new to photography too, we can learn together! :D Following you now ;)
Hi. Yes of course I would like to learn from you. I don't know much about photography. I have learned something watching video from YouTube 😂. Thanks.
I learn the same way haha I love youtube
I love these photos, well actually I usually love all your photos but I am a huge fan of bees and these photos are magic, the detail of the wings and pollen on the bees legs are great. Oh you so should do more photos of insects, I for one would love to see them. My 2 eldest girls are very impressed with these photos also. xx
Thank you so much @trucklife-family and thank your daughters for me too! I was saying to my hubby earlier that I want to fill a section of the garden with wild flowers this year to attract as many different insects as possible for taking pictures of. He thinks I have gone mad! haha xx
photography was great.
Thank you.
Love forever.
