Newly Edited Reels - tell me what you think (Videos)

So, I talked with my acting coach today, he gave me some advice on trimming my reels (the short videos that make people want to hire you as an actor). I'd love your impressions.

Here's my reel for comedy:

Here's my reel for drama:

Really cool thing to come across, man. Word. I love it. Thanks for sharing. Rikki and I have gotten into acting a bit through producing a couple of musical theater pieces we've developed over the years.

I'm glad! Theatre builds such strong communities.

Although I have no frame of reference, I liked them!

Your personal frame of reference is good enough! You know what you like!

You have a real knack for comedy, brother! The way you go about it seems so effortless. I don't know what to say to that, but I'm very upset! Great stuff, dude.

Maybe I should've watched the drama reel first before comedy, I couldn't shake off the image from the comedy reel, especially with the wing flapping scene. Personally though, I think comedy is way harder than drama. There are a lot more factors involved with it, like timing and energy. Drama is way easier to manufacture, but having comedic chops is a gift.

You're not wrong. The wing flapping scene is from a comedy, but my teacher's advice to me was that it should be in my drama reel.

Aha! See? I know a thing or two about a thing or two ;)

you had me at "¡hola!"
