RE: Actifit Daily: Top Daily Actifitters. Doubled UP Winners. Delegations

in #actifit6 years ago (edited)

Taking nothing away from what @zen-art and @inlakech wrote or accomplished, but it seems appearing in the daily leader board twice would be an unintended result, @mcfarhat, when a round is daily and a user should post only once per 24-hours.

It comes down to a quirk of timing the postings in relation to the start of the voting bot's run, doesn't it? And if so I'd suggest that this be changed ― it seems like an arbitrary advantage for certain time zones and/or posting habits.

I would suggest that if the bot upvotes a user it is triggered not to upvote it again until the next round. I for one do not mind waiting and have no problems with having daily upvotes. Since the bot upvotes once it has 100% voting power, I am not sure that this kind of thing can happen often. If nothing changes, doing some basic math in my head (relatively accurate) I would think that in my case, this could happen once or twice a month :)

hey @tdre,
No actually that could happen to anyone, and is not much of influence to anyone's rewards.
Whats happening is that one of their posts from 2 days ago was not voted, so it was left for the coming round of the bot, and then their second post was available within proper timeframe for the bot to vote it too.
Everyone has equal fair advantage to reward according to our post assessment criteria and user rank.

Ah, gotcha! Thanks for the explanation. It still might be a worthwhile change that a user appear only once on this list. It is styled "Top Daily Actifitters" rather than top daily posts.

Also the word daily becomes imprecise when used this way. Though it's certainly a plausible expression in light of what you've explained. I don't think it's what comes immediately to mind.

It's not too big a deal though. I do think it's just likely to keep things more clear. It also broadens the opportunity for individuals to appear on the list which, I'm guessing, serves the purposes of having a leader board a little better.

All up to you. Thanks for replying!
