This morning I started out with a mantra class at my favorite yoga studio where we chanted for 30 minutes. Sanskrit is an energy based language so when we chant, we are stimulating our chakras. For me it’s a positive way to start my day.
After my morning mantra I took a Megaformer class. It’s similar to a classic Pilates reformer, but the Megaformer machine uses spring-loaded resistance which you adjust throughout different exercises. We did lots of planks, squats, mountain climbers and other ab work.
After my workout I had an appointment up at Midtown. Whenever possible, my choice of getting around the city is to walk. It was a nice, sunny day so I walked there. Plus this was another way for me to sneak in a bit more physical activity in my day.
