An active day out fishing with my boy and his friend

Gone fishing is the story of today, my boy's friend asked him if he wanted to go fishing with him and his dad. My boy wanted to go - but only if I went with him - so we all went fishing.

Off we all went to a local lake, it's supposed to have a few fish in they say.

Twenty minutes in, and fishing is boring he says - so the rest of the day turns into me and the two boys exploring the area around the lake.

There is plenty of area to explore as well.

This concrete structure was good to climb on, once I gave them a leg up.

We found some good views too.

Then on our fishing trip, we walked to a nearby park...with a lake! We could have just come here to fish.

Pretty cool monument in the park, there were drinking fountains around the base but they are not in use any more.
