Scabiosis Longhorn Moth

Hey Steemians,

We had awesome weather today. Not too hot and a lot of sunshine. I seem, that all the insects that were missed in the last weeks are now here since the temperature has dropped. The plants are still quite restrained, but are beginning to flower more and more.

I found this Scabiosis Longhorn Moths sitting on some hogweeds. The antennas are really long, they haven't fit in the picture.

    What a unfortunate name 'Scabiosis' for such a delightful creature 😂

    Nice shot Kevin. The antennas on the right hand moth almost fitted in nicely as they were curled up. 👍

    Sometimes the names are a little bit unexplainable.
    I never saw some small moths with so long antennas before. You're right they can curle it up, maybe that't the way how they can fly with those "ropes".
