The Code of Nature Lovers and Environmental Ethics
The Indonesian Nature Lovers Code of Conduct was first spelled out in January 1974. This Code of Conduct becomes a reference and a firm grip for nature lovers all over Indonesia in behaving and behaving in all activities in the wild.
Here is the contents of the Code of Nature Lovers of Indonesia:
- Nature Lovers Indonesia is aware that nature and its contents is the creation of God Almighty
- Nature Lovers Indonesia is a part of Indonesian society to be responsible to God, nation, and country
- Nature Lovers Indonesia is aware that nature lovers are some of the creatures who love nature as an almighty grace
- In accordance with the above nature, we with consciousness, stated:
- Serving to God Almighty
- Maintain nature and its contents and use natural resources in accordance with their needs
- Serving to the nation and the homeland
- Respect the prevailing lifestyle of the surrounding community and respect human beings and their relatives
- Trying to strengthen the rope of brotherhood between lovers of nature according to the principle of nature lovers
- Try to help each other and appreciate in the implementation of devotion to God, nation and homeland

This code of nature lovers of Indonesia was first coined in an activity called Gladian National Nature Lovers IV. This grand pledge was held on Kahyangan Island and Tana Toraja in January 1974. Gladian was organized by the Agency of Intergovernmental Club of Nature Lovers of Ujung Pandang and followed by 44 associations of nature lovers all over Indonesia.
Gladian National is a grand gathering event of nature lovers all over Indonesia. National Gladians are essentially "exercise events" for nature lovers to improve their knowledge, skills and skills in the field of love and outdoor activities. Gladian Nasional also serves as a medium of friendship and knowledge sharing among the society of nature lovers all over Indonesia.
This Indonesian nature lovers code of ethics, until now still used and held firm by various associations of nature lovers all over Indonesia.
In the outdoors we also recognize the existence of 3 Environmental Ethics that may all have often heard it, this code of ethics is called the Universal Environmental Ethics, whose contents are as follows:
- Take nothing but picture. Prohibited from taking anything except photos
- Leave nothing but footprint. Prohibited from leaving anything but a trail
- Kill noting but time. Do not kill anything except time.
