today I will show you my next bird collection, and a little about the history of the canaries
The canary (Serinus Canaria) was first discovered by French sailor Jean de Berthan Cout in the Canary Islands in the 15th century.
The Netherlands, now better known by the name of Indonesian walnut exporter, originally brought walnuts from England, Germany and Belgium and the canary was married to wild canaries and produced several other species.
The name of the walnut is not related to walnuts, but derives from the name of the original island habitat, the Canary Islands. The island itself gets its name from Latin canarias which means dog (island), because of the abundance of wild dogs that existed there in ancient times.
