Just hear the word "spider," most people are afraid! A rare spider with an unusual stomach was discovered by a Chinese orange farmer named Li Wenhua. The spider is an ancient species, but there is little documentation about this spider. Initially, Wenhua did not even suspect the creature was a spider!
But once he realizes the animal is a spider, he calls out to his neighbor who all rushes to see the rare arachnid. Chinese hourglass spiders, or, in Chinese, Li shi pan fu zhu. Wenhua looks for the name of this strange creature in cyberspace. Zhao Li, head of the Western Chinese Insect Museum, confirmed that the spider was indeed a rare hourglass spider.
This spider is one of the earliest spiders recorded in China. This animal was rediscovered in 2000 in Sichuan Province. The animal has only been seen six times since 2000. Li said that spiders are highly valued for scientific research and are a very rare species in Sichuan. Li himself has spent a lot of time looking for specimens but has never found them yet.
