Snake Fruit : The Legend Fruit of Aceh

in #aceh8 years ago

Hi my blessed steemians I hope you'r all doing fine. I never get bored to share anything that is deserved. This time I would like to present you the fruit that is currently becoming a legend. Its existence is nearly unknown, and hardly to find but the name still remains.

This kind of fruit is not sounded familiar among the current generations. In the past time when I was teen this fruit was quite famous. Yep! In Aceh we call "boh meria" I dont know how to say in English for I believe this fruit is not found in your country or I would like to call snake fruit if you dont mind.

The snake tree grew as normal tree. It needed no special treatment to produce plenty fruits, it just grew wildly.

That is what I am talking about, the shell is harder than any fruit. It takes a strenght to split the shell. We usually splitted by using teeth or anything sharp.

Wow! That how we eat. The fragmentated coconut combines with salt, sugar and chili to have combination taste. Almost nobody could be able to eat raw snake fruit as it is chatagorized as astrigent fruit. The combination ingredients can reduce its original taste.

You know, it is intresting, why I call it snake fruit? The shell almost look like the reptile skin. Sound scary, but do not worry it is just a name the important thing is the taste that you never find in any other fruits.
