My puzzle
What password should I use, I never remember registering on the platform. I am a little confuse on what to do next since the Login/Register is the same button and the UI is the same. I am yet to understand what to do next

You need not register. It steemauto and your steemit account is bridge or say linked by steemconnect.
It acts as a bridge between the two sites. All you need do is to get your private active key by going into settings then to permissions thwn reveal private keys
