Alan Sokal is a mathematical physicist who wanted to expose how easy it was to publish BS on some well-known journals, especially in domains where there is no adequate peer review process for cross-disciplinary articles...

Yeah. I know Alan, as 25 years ago I was a postgrad student at NYU and he was a professor. Very bright man, always questioning the establishment...
