You are right, that's why I don't like Steemit bots. They are harming the system, just because someone mentioning you doesnt mean you are contributing quality content.
I believe we should always report misleading articles and upvote quality post. It will help us grow. What do you say?
It is a difficult question regarding the bots.
Currently there is a rule were curators are not able to upvote content within the first 30 min. This is one of the reason people are using bots, for curation.
Put yourselve in their shoes, would you wait 30min everytime you detect a good new post? I believe this rule should be modified otherwise we are forcing human curators to whether:
EDIT: It is not that they cannot upvote within 30min, just that there is a reward penalty
