Good day. I hop my words find you well today and that there's lots of good things happening in your life today.
Today I'm inclined to ask The Hive Mind for some advice on how to increase engagement and reach for content. I believe that everyone has something to offer this world and I want to find avenues to help people maximize their potential and maximize my reach to do so. Writing and blogging is one small way I know I can do this. Showing up consistently and continuing to contribute is definitely one component of this equation, but how do I maximize on the reach for the effort of creating that content and find my audience? This is one area I've been toiling over so here I am asking for some help from the community in hopes of getting some perspective from those that are having success in finding their target audience and finding the engagement, here on Hive and beyond.

When I look forward into the potential future, what I see is Hive at the center of my content distribution. That's for a number of reasons:
- I like the concept of proof of authorship through blockchain copyright. It's pretty damn cool and I think this is the future.
- I like the idea of being able to capitalize on votes through the contribution of quality content and to be able to share my successes with others and help them find their communities.
- Hive is more than a platform. It's a community and communities are important.
- There's vast potential in block chain integration for commerce which will allow products or services to be bought and sold with crypto, and that's going to become more important as time passes. Might as well be ahead of the curve, right?
So, this post is really a request for feedback- a call for help of sorts. We can survive on our own, but thriving takes community efforts.
I'm not sure if this fits into the "thoughtful daily post" category, but it seemed like a topic that may help others too, so I thought it worth a shot.
Hive community, what can you tell me or show me about creating branded content that engages your readership/viewership and engages community in a way that rewards your efforts and allows you to grow in your pursuits and goals personally and financially?
Thanks for reading. Much love and hope you're well, wherever you are today.
I couldn't speak to branded content. Perhaps, in some way, each account is its own brand. After all, regular readers will need to recognize the writer to help in selecting what to read.
I am finding that posting to the blog doesn't do as well as posting within communities. This has drawbacks in that you don't reach the entire Hive audience. However, it has the advantage that you will find more supportive Hivers. Although, some communities don't have much activity. So, you'd have to choose popular communities.
For example, there are people whom I follow because of their consistent quality over at LeoFinance. If I tried to read them in the general stream, I would not see half their posts, or more. So, there is some advantage to being part of communities in that it narrows down your audience to others who have similar tastes and interests. I think that's the basis of finding your regular and engaged readers.
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave your thoughts. I'm sure they'll prove helpful in finding my target audience and building communities in the future. I think one of three things that's the toughest to embrace is that it takes time, effort and consistent effort and commitment to make anything worthwhile happen.
I think you're absolutely right about every writer being their own brand to some extent. I guess that's what prompted me to reach out and write this. To get perspective and find out more about my perspective audience.
Thanks again for your thoughts!
Best of luck. I hope you find your community.
