RE: What are the moral implications of abortion?

in #abortion7 years ago

My thoughts on abortion have changed a few times over the years. I thought that there is nothing wrong with abortion because the fetus doesn't become human until it starts to take information in. until then its just a blank slate.

If the child will have a painful life, it would be more humane to abort it before it becomes conscious. would you get bad karma for taking a life? that i do not know but if you are saving that child from a lifetime of suffering does that justify it?

Sort:

It against all religion, i think nothing justifies taking a life

@iron-rode if religion is against something, does it mean the thing is bad? We are talking about morality here not religion. And by saying 'killing' who kills what by what?

If you read carefully, you will see all the posers i raised. None says it is killing.

Thanks.

Thanks @henosis! You have a good point. That was why i asked: 'at what time is the fetus human'. If you take it to the karma scenario, it might be hard to judge.
