Pripyat was a Ukrainian city that had about 50,000 inhabitants but was completely abandoned after the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster that happened nearby. Because of the radiation, the city has been left untouched since the incident and will remain for thousands of years.

Willard was built in 1869 and closed in 1995. It housed 4,000 patients at its peak, and saw more than 50,000 people die within its walls. That alone makes the place one of the scariest we can imagine.
