Those films that manage to create different plots from elements that we have already seen hundreds of times are really movies that I appreciate very much, beyond the development that its director and scriptwriters decide to take to lead the story to end up being good or bad, after all the originality is something that I will always recognize and appreciate for what has been done in an industry that every day decides to bet more for reboots than for things well done that conquer the public little by little. That's why today I would like to give you a review of a film that beyond not being perfect I liked very much for the good rhythm and for a story so well thought out, well except for its ending.

Savages is a film about drug trafficking told in a different way, with different protagonists and undoubtedly with atypical development. In this film the plot focuses on two young cultivators of one of the best marijuana in all of Los Angeles, two young people who have gone unnoticed and thanks to that have managed to create a very good organization of drug trafficking where there is no violence or anything like those typical things in drug cartels. However, these young people live from the peculiarities, since they are like a kind of hippies who share their love for the same woman, yes, these two young men who produce the best marijuana in Los Angeles live and are in love with the same woman, a woman who share and love in perfect harmony without problem, basically a relationship between 3 people who love each other and who are happy together.

So far despite the particularity of having a trio of young people who love each other and who together have a marijuana sales business, the story doesn't seem very interesting, however everything changes when a Mexican cartel interferes in the life and business of these young people by proposing an alliance, something that they, of course, don't accept since they don't feel the need to do it, big mistake! It is from this refusal to join the Mexican cartel that the real turning point of the film is triggered since all action will begin when the men of this Mexican cartel decide to kidnap the great love of these two men, something that destabilizes them and brings them to their knees in front of the cartel.

The plot is very good because after the kidnapping of the woman both young drug growers love the film changes and sets a more intense and dramatic tone where we will see the different attempts these two young men make to recover the woman they love no matter who they have to go through or who they have to sacrifice, something that gives us dozens of entertaining scenes where we see the development of the characters towards a more violent environment full of that characteristic drama in action movies. The best thing is that these dramatic and intense scenes are complemented by a photograph and some camera effects that give it more strength and make them stand out more for the different angles that are established around this tense atmosphere of search, an atmosphere that feels exciting when we see the desperation of the characters and the excitement to know that they are closer and closer to beating the poster.

I repeat this is a very good movie, an extremely entertaining movie that offers us scenes and situations full of drama and action that create a perfect atmosphere around the kidnapping of an innocent girl who suffers all kinds of humiliations and abuses. This is a story of kidnapping and drug trafficking seasoned with a lot of drama and action, a story that never stays put, here we will not see the characters waiting to see what happens, on the contrary, the plot will always keep us entertained and eager to know how it all ends. However, in the end, the plot deflates a little thanks to that end told in a timeless way where we see two possible scenarios for this whole situation that was created from the beginning, not that I complained of the lived happily ever after, but I would have liked something more in line with what the plot was showing us, something more creative when closing a story so exciting. In short, this is a very good film that you won't regret seeing because, besides a different story, it also has very good characters that will make us connect very fast for good or bad.
