Hehe, nice! :) I need to get around and do some more chop-and-dropping to clean up some plants that have died back from the frost. Got to build up the mulch layer a bit more!

Yup! That is the basic idea and in the areas where my plants are thick enough I don't have to worry about creating these structures. But it helps a lot to get things established :)
