Here are two cool pictures I took at the gardens of Chalice Well in Glastonbury, England. I was just starting to play with macro imagery and was very, very pleased with these results.
I only had a set of extension tubes for my camera at the time (Pentax K100D) - cost about £15 ($22) and used almost constantly! What a new world for me! (I've only just got something for my new camera, so hope to grab some great pictures now that the snow has gone away again.)
Even with the extensions, it's sometimes difficult waiting for the insect to sit where you want them to... I'll show you an example of that next week...

Beautiful work
Thank you!
Awesome Photography
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Those are great! The flowers are as gorgeous as the bees!
Thank you! Actually, they are not bees, but drone flies designed to mimic bees. If you look at the eyes and the wings, you can see they are fly-shaped, not bee-shaped. :-)
There's your biology lesson for the day!
Haha! Thanks! It's early and my brain is not fully awake yet.

I totally sympathize! My early-morning comments aren't always up there either, lol.
Great shots! What is this "pay it forward contest"?

It's a weekly curation contest. There's still nearly 29 hours to participate this week.
Take a look here!
Great idea! Maybe I'll try it ones.
