There was once a spidery contents here but a spider has now put them inside coccoons.... Like Shelob did with Frodo Baggins~ Or maybe like those fleshy things in Aliens before the chestburster bursts out of them~ Yep, like one of those things :D

I'm crying~. Because I'm impressed by your wonderful painting, beautiful summer flowers and your kindness... oh... Where's the handkerchief to wipe my tears?
Your artwork amazed me. Watercolor is a very difficult painting material. Oil and acrylic can be re-painted, but watercolor cannot do it. However, you seem to have overcome it already. Your watercolor is awesome, even though it is the third time. It means that you have a wonderful talent.
My watercolor advice for you, please don't be afraid of it. If you have any questions, please ask me at any time. For you, I will tell you ALL the techniques that I have.
Thank you my sweeeeet granddaughter!!! I love you!
Daisuki kumoko chan!
aaaaa nakunaidekudasaaaiii jiichan~
sou sou ne, watercolour ha muzukashii desuwa~ demo kumo ganbaruuuu~
i will ask you all of your teaching tips, jiichan !!!! <3 <3 <3
It might not be as great as you want it to be, but it's still pretty awesome :D
I would be happy if my third watercolour attempts look like this, it looks like Van Gogh just discovers anime. The flowers remind me of his sunflower painting.
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo no no no
n...no~
you probably need to install new eyes > __ <
also your watercolour is amazing and delicate as watercolours should be~
I totaly agree with @scrawly, this is an amazing Van Gogh/Anime crossover:)
you both are mad i tell you, M A D !!!!!

well you are probably too hard on yourself but yeah I do see what you mean about kinda muddying it up a bit as you kept adding more. It has been a while since I played around with water colors but I always liked the technique of painting with water first (plain water) then touching the color to the wet paper and letting it flow into the wet area from there. If you don't like the heaviness of the look you are getting maybe try that :) Keep on going!
ooooh, i might try that next time. im such a noob with colours... thanks carl !!!
Colour!! And it's flippin' amazing! You need to find more colour braveness. 😁
It was a great rescue and I love the deeper colours on the final piece.
Aaah thank you mini ! You are very nice <3 I think the final piece is terrible, but it is nice to hear otherwise, haha~
We are always our harshest critics! It's probably good that beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, so that guarantees someone will love it, even if you don't.
I was about to suggest watercolour, as it has so much transperancy that you can often keep the line and power of your original sketch as well as have colour.
It's a great start and definitely a fun way to go. I love colour! I sort of go back and forth between bold hues and more sombre palettes. I'm really loveing the more moodier tones I am using in my Singularity ladies when I 'oil paint' them as I like that sort of faded dark 19th c feel. yet, when I did/do my animals in chairs series I verge on Pop art colours with some and in some cases the colour story is almost like one of the characters.
Don't be afraid of colour, embrace and you'll become fast friends!
Colours are hard and not friendly :( But I can see how much Donna loves colours !!! :D :D Donna's colours are really wonderful~
I will keep at it !
We enter here for curiosity and ended up reading every word of your publication with a smile. You really tell everything in a very funny and sweet way. For us, your watercolor looks amazing and so beautiful, we are sure that in the future you will be as good as you want and we would like to see how that happens.
PS: we also think @shibasaki is amazing🌸.
hahahah, i am a little silly :D but i am glad if i can make people laugh <3 <3 <3
you are such a lovely and kind person * ___ * thank you so much for your warmth !
I think it's beautiful, @veryspider. I also struggle with colour - I always think it's because I 'lose control' of what I'm doing...
One of the techniques I'd like to learn in the near future is to use 'inks' like watercolours (not that I'm good with watercolours, but hey, never mind :D
Yes, I can relate... I think colours are very hard to control :( Unlike pencils and inks !!
I will keep trying ! .......... (maybe in a few months' time)
thank you for kind comments <3
Maybe people who know anything about watercolours might find some areas you could improve on, looks pretty good to me to the point of I don't know what you're complaining about ;D
OMG RYRY it is like, it was nice and light and then i fucked it all up by just overdoing absolutely everything gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Woah~ I love this watercolour attempt yah did. Reminds me very much of impressionist art (if impressionist art decided to mock anime). Anywho I like the way yer character, her looks and how the flowers complement her while she contrasts greatly with the background. The background gives a morning feel within a forest, especially compounded by her clothes and flowers of choice. Also that smile be perfect.
Thanksness :D

I think she looks better with darker hair. This does look like a painting that changed with the seasons.
Thank you, choo.... Well, now that you've put it like that, I am feeling better about it :D
Yeah! Good! You are drawing enough amazing art!
Surely, I think watercolor painting is very difficult…I also want to try someday😀

You should try it for sure, @ryo-6414 !!! It is a difficult thing but I think it is also quite fun .... XD
Haha This is probably still better than anything I could come up with if I did traditional works (which I need to do that again one day). It’s still nice work you did here. :) I can imagine blending colors, matching warms and cools well, and other such things would be a difficult thing to work with since unlike for digital arts, you just don’t pick out any color willy nilly (unless you just have a ton of colors at your disposal) or completely layer colors over others without some blending. lol

Yeah! It was really hard to blend colours to get the right hues.... specially since there's only 12 base colours!
I have come to know that with every attempt at something I learn something that makes my next attempt more successful. There is beauty in everything. So maybe it did not come out like you imagined, but the 'story' that you are SO GOOD at telling is still there and is as beautiful as ever. Everyone has their niche, but if you stick with just one thing your good at.. things get boring. Now don't get me wrong, I love your pen and ink (God knows I LOVE B&W) but I like to see the attempts at the unfamiliar. Look at all my crap.. nothing is the same. all of it mediocre at best. But getting better with the encouragement from individuals like you!
Now.. You may have a grandfather who has been around the block, but I would wager that he did not learn his skill after 3 attempts. Just guessing at that. You have the bricks and mortar to build anything your heart desires, even with watercolor.
You did NOT "Fuck" this up. You see what you don't like.. I see what I do like. This beautiful girl holding a bunch of flowers that are the same color as her shirt.. she must like this color. It make sense to me that she picked them. Her hair is impressive, by the way. She cradles them with a gentleness and care that only a woman could give. Her eyes, though simple, speak volumes. They say to me that she is containing a love for whomever she is gazing at. This could be the love of a mother for a child, the love of a woman for her lover, or perhaps the love for a grandfather in a far off place. I see the love and subtle excitement in her eyes. This made me smile :-)
Just some suggestions from someone who you Should Not be taking advice from..
I see a piece of art from the heart here. Nothing more and nothing less. Beautiful to me. Thanks for being open and honest. That is hard in itself.. admitting you think it falls short of your true talent. That means your going to not give up on color. I look forward to more @veryspider.
[so sorry for the diarrhea of the fingers.. lol .. should of just stuck with, "Nice work."]
Nice work.
It looks awesome, so full of life! And yes, if you missed the last step it would have been perfect, but you can't expect your third watercolor to not have happy mistakes.
I'm so happy I logged in to check out what you and other incredibly talented artist are working on.
