Hello Hello Hivians.
I often make a post for #WednesdayWalk and today is no different.
Well I tell a fib, I wasn't going to post because I have CBA but then I saw the sky when I was outside today and just had to share the sunshine and happiness!
So yesterday I got sidetracked and never finished this post. So here goes!
What is the saying ....
A day late and a dollar short 🤣
Let's go
So this is me coming back from Burntisland yesterday in the Kingdom of Fife in Scotland.
The time of this walk is around 2.30 pm.
That is the Firth of Forth and the water is fluffing cold!
I saw walk but at the moment we are sitting on a bus. I saw the upstairs front was free so jumped on!
Look at the views with this blue sky!
So this is village / wee town of Kinghorn ... It has a damn good chippie if you are ever in the area!
We are running parallel to the sea, which make for some great views.
That farm has great views, what do you think?
There is also a field to the right that has a couple of horses, it reminds of the weather and views in Orkney from last summer with horses grazing beside the water.
The farmers will be hoping for plenty of sun now, they had the water (rain) so now get that sunshine coming down!
Of course some fields have not long been ploughed and seeds planted.
You can see the bus shelter on the curve. It used to be that this bus service was every 20 minutes, but then they cut it to every 30 minutes. As long as it is on time that is still pretty good going, and does me.
It is not only the road that follows the coast, but also the railway line, although the rail tracks are closer to the sea than the road...
However that changes as we go under the railway bridge and make our way into Kirkcaldy.
And right on cue there goes the choo choo 🚂
Time for us to get off the bus...
But what a view it is of course Cherry Blossom time, I should pop down and take some more pics...
I mean aren't they pretty....?
And talking about pretty things, let's flex some gorgeous flowers on the way home, now that we are walking!
April for me is always tulips, and those are beauties!
I love how they fill these planters up and will see the full blooms in a few weeks.
The big building on right is the old mill. Of course mills need water and alongside it is the Teel burn.
I love how clear the water is, you can see the reeds flowing in the current of the water!
Did you spot something else?
What about now?
It is the first time I have seen them this close to the sea.
Yes it was a couple of male Mallard ducks.
Then it was home and unload some of the groceries...
As we mentioned pairs, I will close the walk with what we had for dinner.
It was a pair of bridies.
One mince and one steak! Damn tasty they were too...
This post is also my third April 2024 walk for #wednesdaywalk which was started by the wonderful @tattoodjay.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!
All images and ramblings are from me, the mad Scotsman TengoLoTodo and from my April walk in Kirkcaldy in Scotland. Photos taken with my smartphone.

A northern country as Scotland is, is so rare.. Meaning, its beauty is just shocking. Have you truly pay attention to details? I've just wrote something very nihilistic but then I see this, and I'm feeling a bit odd.... Loved your post, love!
Scotland is a beautiful country. I have worked all over the world and people in Scotland don.t get how beautiful it is.
My mother in law who is from Colorado came here and people would moan about the rain. She said but that is what makes it so beautiful.
Thank you for commenting and have a wonderful weekend.
thanks for sharing your walk
as for the good chippie, I still think the best fish and Chips are back in NZ, but the ones I had there were petty good I will say
here I have yet to find a place i like
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
Have a great day :)
The States don't really get fish and chips, I never found any good ones.
Wishing you a great weekend!
I never would have guessed you guys have so many cherry trees over there, but between the photos you shared and the ones @hoosie shared, I can see there are many more than I thought.
Aye, we've got a ton of cherry blossoms here thats for sure.
@Tengolotodo - thats a nice brace of bridies !!!
Can't beat a good bridie!
Ah yes lots of cherry blossoms absolutely everywhere, but these don't produce cherries unfortunately.
I mean aren't they pretty....?, they are. Would have made a good berry, just sitting under it to enjoy the fruits.
Nice photos friend.
Hehe they are, now is the time everything looks so pretty in the sun!
Thanks for stopping in and have a great weekend my friend!
You too friend
The dinner looks yummy. I should have one of those.
I love the view of the male Mallard ducks in the water
Ah yes the bridies are awesome, the pastry melts in your mough and the meat is so flavourful! Yeah I was surprised to see the mallard dicks that close to the sea!
Pretty cherry blossom trees...
Of course, the feathered friends are cute 😊
Hehe it is funny, when I saw them I knew I would put them in a post and guess who I was thinking of then I took their pic .... Yes you as I know you will mention the feathered friends lol
Happy Friday Jane!
The ducks seem to be having such a great time just as you in this walk. Scotland is so blessed and endowed with so much beauty.
And thank you for sharing it with us, it always feels so cool to feed my eyes with pretty places around the world from the comfort of my home.

If I may ask, what is CBA?
Those are amazing views you just fed my eyes with and I believe you had a lovely walk and time exploring such places.
Well, a day late, a dollar short....that's right! So, don't be late again, Teng 😅
