Have you ever had one of those days when nothing goes as it's supposed to? One of those days when everything you do seems to be wrong? Well, I just experienced a not so happy Friday.
Sun was shining this morning but it was too damn cold for this time of year. Nevertheless, I had to go to work. Also, today is bank holiday in Romania but working for a foreign company means I cannot enjoy the free day.
Despite the bitter cold and being the only person wandering the empty streets, I was happy and highly motivated to have a great day. Too bad that stars did not agree.
As soon as I arrived at the office, little disasters started to happen. Network cable broken by some very determined cleaning ladies, phone unplugged and the entire office smelling of fresh lemons (a scent that I don't particularly enjoy).
I didn't even bother to get mad before having a cup of coffee with a very dear friend and co-worker. But alas....the coffee machine was out of service. Ok, it seems I must follow my dear friend @erikah's advice and quit drinking coffee. Tea would make a great alternative. It would if only I could have found the box where I keep it.
I don't need tea or coffee to be happy. Just a little girls gossip and the day would be better. And I was right: spending a couple of minutes with my friend made my day better. Feeling happy I was ready to start a very productive day so I returned to my office. Plugging cables, opening the windows, starting laptop, blue screen of death (bsod, for friends). ☠️ What were the odds?
Waiting for my laptop to be reimaged meant free time. I had the opportunity to read some nice posts, reply to my friends and, basically, doing what I like.
So, every horrible thing has a good side. It's up to us to find it. 🙂But, I wrote this post for #LoveFriday challenge initiated by the lovely @liliana.duarte. I tried to see the positive aspect of this messy day.
Have a great weekend, my friends!

Always look at the bright side...^_^ This rose is wonderful by the way ;-)

Thank you, my dear. Even if sometimes it's hard to be positive, I surely try. Being upset does not do any good. 🙂
Thank you, Pix
Your Friday sounds like a typical Monday to me. Love the artwork of the flower btw. :-)
Don't get me started on Mondays. Apart from little disasters usually happening, there is also the lack of working mood.
Thank you, I'm glad you like my re-invented wild rose. 🙂

Thank you, my dear. Lovely song and quite motivating. 🙂
Always a pleasure to spread the good vibes via your wonderful challenge.
Most welcome! I had to edit my previous comment due to the "not so Smart phone" (and tired eyes last night)!! Instead of recognizing that I'm trying to write in English, it mix English with portuguese make me looking a total arse!!! 🤣

Hahaha. No worries my dear. Romanian and Portuguese are both Latin languages so I can understand a bit.
My "smartphone" is lately correcting the word "son" with "sin". 😂
Lovely treatment to that image.
I totally get the sentiment of this piece. Sometimes, it seems the whole world is conspiring to get you down. But, as you did, you just have to keep reaching toward that bright spot… wherever and whatever it may be in the moment.
Thank you, Denise. Much appreciated.
Now that I got back to work I expect many nasty days. But, this is life. I can only hope I will be able to surpass these moments and keep on going with a big smile. 🙂
