Hive has very little tx/s right now. Even less than Steem now. This is because people switching between nodes, updating libraries etc. Need few days (weeks) until we get serious stats.

You might be right, there have been periods where STEEEM pumped, I do think that we can accomplish much more now we got rid of those centralized stakes.
