5 simple minimalistic things

in The MINIMALISTlast year

Instantly, as soon as I noticed this challenge, I was inflamed with desire to share my 5 cents and see what other people would bring to the table (yes, I'm curious!). For several days my eyes intensely screened the space around me, but did not find enough minimalism to come up with... simply because my house is quite cluttered with a lot of old stuff :) my subconscious was running like an engine in neutral. Then I re-read the prompt, and realized I can look around much wider than my home and surroundings. That helped!

Decoration of my desktop. I am not into decorations too much, so my desk is free from any decorative excesses; it is decorated with a mouse pad (a large cloth in soothing black and blue tones with a dragon image) and this Japanese-style well-wishing cat.

Milk. I like to consume milk daily! In the city I obtain it in 1-liter plastic bottles, and very rarely (or nevr) buy milk in paper laminated packets (which are almost zero-recyclable, same as laminate-'sandwitched' paper coffee cups. Highly eco-unfriendly). Especially I like to obtain milk directly from producer, as you can see in the picture above; but it is only in the summer, in the countryside, I have such an opportunity. Highly recyclable and uber-minimalistic, isnt it?..

A kid's plasticine artwork I shoot a while ago. Done in quite minimalistic manner, with not so many details, it focuses on very few things I adore; I'd love my life to consist only from sea, sand, sunshine and swimming. (Of course I mean 'tropic sea', dont suggest me polar one - that is not talkable, simply out of the question!) So, this was a perfect capture of the life essence.

Raindrops. I like to stop and watch them, especially in the autumn and dying time, especially in winter, when I see all those blurry neon street lights behind the window (but of course, I would rather prefer to look at sand at any tropic beach, see #3).

Of course, I wanted to add to my blog Coffee! I prefer to drink black coffee without milk, but with sugar and pastry (and with spices)... that is not a rule, sometimes there happen exceptions, - I can have a latte, or ristretto without any sugar and spicy extras. This was the case without any cookies; just two cardamom beans were added to the coffee. Pretty minimalistic to my standards, hehe.

The milk and coffeee shots are superb! Nice one.

The lucky-bringing (and eye-catching; what a coincidence!) kitty brought me a lucky upvote almost instantly, made my evening. But I agree with you, these milk and coffee shots are pleasurable too. Maybe you be willing to jump on this one too? (Friday 18:00 UTC is the deadline.)
NB
I slightly miss the #edtopic challenge... ☘️ have a !PIZZA

Thats great news, the kitty shot is really cool too. I don't think I will manage to jump in this time, but it looks like a fun challenge for the future. I am not sure when EDTopic will be back yet. Next week will be a new waves challenge #foodchain

I noticed the last one, about coffee. Uh... er... ummm... I do not find myself, er.... cant get my head around all those innovations - leo threads, ecency waves... sad but truth :D

Hehe yeah I know the feeling. 😅

I love it! I’m switching to minimalistic life, very slowly, and I love how every simple thing can fill different instants. It’s a process, a step by step. I love the milk, it’s great that you can obtain it directly from your producer. Also the rain drops are something that I love, and I didn’t relate them with a minimalistic lifestyle.

Great post!

Grazie, Grazie Mille !!!! ☘️ 😘😘😘

Awe… Italian! 😍

There's something heartwarming about purchasing milk from a local farmer and producer that I love. It gives a warming family feel, and it's a great start to a day. I love the glass that you store it in, and honestly, this looks like an idea for me to adopt so that I can increase my milk intake. This is lovely all around @qwerrie. The first photo grabs your attention and how can one not be intrigued by a well-wishing cat, eh?

I love that the art has all of your favourite elements, and yes tropical ONLY!

Raindrops on the window. Heavenly! Just yesterday evening I took out my camera to capture raindrops, I guess it's the time of year for it. Sadly my camera would not turn on. I left my battery charging overnight, so I'll see what's happening with it.

And of course, coffee! Now, what would a day be with it? I like the presentation and the inclusion of spices is great for setting the tone and calming your senses.

This was a great presentation of 5 simple everyday items and objects that hold significance - small but impactful meaning to your daily life and well-being.

I am up for a walk in a park! and sometimes even under a rain or grey sky - it is, indeed, calming,
restores calm breathing and a calm flow of thoughts.

I have (probably same) problems with my camera battery - I have 3, and all three are very worn-out - the more colder the weather is, the more faster they loose their charge; it is not winter yet, but it already happens pretty often, that from 3 batteries I borrow with me (and I consider them to be charged) only 1 continue working, and others loose charge in 5-10 seconds after I put them to camera. I need to obtain a new one, especially for winter walks - otherwise I could not take pics at all...

ps. Glad you enjoyed the visuals. I was fascinated myself how the raindrops turned out - I made about ten takes, and each take became different and unique... and pleasurable. This is life.

I agree with all this Qwerrie, and it was tempting for me to go on a walk in the rain this morning, but I'm still recovering and on the mend from an ailment for a few weeks, so I stayed in.

I just tested my camera now and it worked. That was scary, and I'll take note of what you said about the winter months. Thanks for that. 🤗

Have a lovely day!:)))

Minimalism, in a nutshell, is a simple and thoughtful way of living, in terms of the tangible items we possess, our daily actions, and of course, our thoughts.
With this in mind, The Minimalist and ThoughtfulDailyPost lifestyle communities, have decided to collaborate on this contest theme called Simple and Thoughtful Living.

!BEER

Хорошо про правила спросил 😊
Спасибо буду знать что такая тема есть.
А погода в выходные так и не дала осеннюю листву сфоткать🤷‍♂️

Exactly!! me too, I love it when it rains, it just has a way of creating this inner peace within me.

My fave quotes from Tom Waits (song's title 'Little Drop Of Poison'):

I like my town with a little drop of poison...
But I feel much cleaner after it rains.

The plasticine artwork of the sea, sand, sunshine, and swimming is a beautiful and evocative piece. It perfectly captures the essence of a minimalist lifestyle.

I also love to consume milk. But as I am living in hostel these days so I am craving for it. Here in this city there is kind of artificial milk which I don't like and I want to go back my village where I can enjoy pure milk.
Moreover, artwork and decoration is quite amazing..

Raindrops and coffee... Yeah, me too. 💚

Your photographs are outstanding, as always, especially the raindrops.Hi @qwerrie

As for minimalism, I suggest that when it comes to coffee I am even more minimalist than you. Cold water, heated minimally, and instant thrown in. That's it. No pastry. No sweet. No sugar. Basically, I mainline caffeine :))

Your coffee looks delicious.

That raindrops on the window is one smashing photograph. Very minimalist I would say.
Wish you the very best in this competition. It did sound absolutely irresistible.
