HIGHWAY DDH HAZY IPA. I love when my wife brings me such gifts.

I am happy! Who refuses gifts from his wife? And when the gifts are beer, then there is nothing more to dream about. But!

Everything comes with a price!

I received this DDH hazy IPA when my wife came back from a weekend trip. This does not sound particularly bad, but when the three kids are left only with dad, then the situation becomes a bit more complicated. 😁 But don’t get me wrong…

I like the time with the little kiddos… it is just the additional tasks that have to be done alone, rather than shared with wife. And after all, there are some beers, as a reward, yay!

As for this beer, it is the first time I try a beer from the NEPO brewery. A quick search about it led me to Poland. I have to admit that I haven’t heard about this brewrry before and didn’t know what to expect. Visually, the label is quite nice and when poured in a glass, this beer just shines.

The vivid golden yellow color and the even and fine foam makes you want this first sip so much… But I have to take some photos before I enjoy it.

The aroma is wuite perfect too! The heavy use of citrus hops brings forwars some awesome grapefruit and slight pine aromas. The bubbles play their game and dance around the glass in a charmful manner.

The first sip brings a great joy… it was expected a bit too long. But here it is! The juicy expectations about the beer are fulfilled. After all this beer was truly good and I am happy that my wofr chose it. The thick mouthfeel entirely meets with the malty character and heavy hopping. It is like a citrus explosion, like a citrus fresh pressed juice, except from that… this is way tastier!

Kids may enjoy their orange and grapefruit fresh, their father enjoys his fresh! And hands down, I prefer this type of fresh. The kids always want to try a sip, and they are happy when the beer is craft, brewed with such perfection.

And the label… again! It looks fresh and different! Its artist has played with the colors and the result is awesome.

Combined with the beer color, the photos look fantastic.

It is great to have a caring wife that brings you beautiful beers, isn’t it?
