All of us can never get away of that very time when our existence ceases. All of us, no one is exempted as we are all going to that ultimate destination as we are all living temporarily in this very world. It is something beyond our control - it is constant and no one knows when it strikes us.
But how ready we are to face that final curtain? Why do we think of it every now and then knowing it depresses us to the core? Does contemplating about death really necessary?
Three years ago, I read an article about how thinking of death made the people in Bhutan happy. Bhutan is considered as one of the happiest countries in the world. Some people may not know the existence of this country, this is a landlocked country in South Asia which is situated in the Eastern Himalayas.
In that article Bhutanese think of death several times. They are more open to contemplating and talking about it. It is an essential truth - a part of life, and ignoring that very truth costs psychological disturbances as perceived. They believe that when they talk about it they will be able to value their existence even more as a result they seize every moment of their life spending it happily.
I couldn’t agree more to their way of thinking about death. Most of us dismiss talking about it with our friends or family as it makes us feel gloomy, anxious, or depressed. Perhaps we never completely understand the importance of thinking and talking about it unlike the citizens in Bhutan.
We all live once. This life is passing. We have to ready ourselves and be more open to thinking about this essential truth. As we never ever know and no one really knows when our time comes, we have to value this gift of life that we have now by living it according to what makes us happy.
We never have so much time to live, thus, we should never spend our energy to things that do not matter. It is a cliche to say that life is short but that is real, indeed. When we feel like we are not given importance by the person whom we dearly love, we have to set them free and start living a life that makes us happy.
We have to do what can satisfy our soul. The more we think about death, the more we value our lives and live the way we want it which makes us very happy.

Thank you for sharing this text.
Death is indeed a natural event when we look at nature, we understand that everything is ephemeral and that all life is doomed to know death. It is death that gives meaning to our lives as you so beautifully express. Death is part of us and we must not wait for the fateful moment to become aware of it.
As Krishnamurti said: Death is not a horrible thing, something to avoid, to postpone, but rather a companion of every day. From this perception is born an extraordinary sense of immensity.
@columbadubh thank you for reading and for leaving a comment. Your words are meaningful, I couldn't agree more. And I think you are so creative, that blackbird somehow symbolizes death. That's awesome! I envy your creativity. Cheers mate!
