About Last Beersaturday

Last #beersaturday the old @handofzara was on the road helping his son settle in to his new abode down in the BIG CITY of Charlotte. Abig move for a kid who has spent the last few years in a small mountain town while attending University.

Funny, on day you look out your window and see the soaring ridge lines of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the next day you see the skylines of office towers.

He needs to adjust, to say the least and sometimes you just need the company of your father. That and the Mrs. @handofzara had packed my bags and told go down to Charlotte for awhile.

Now she did not exactly define "awhile" but I figured a week would do for both her and more importantly the boy.

On our final night we decided to take a stroll about his new neighborhood and don't you know what we came across.

Hey lets go there! Friends and BEER! Sounds like my kind of place, see you never know what is just around the corner.

Now apparently Legion Brewery is known for their Sours and Juicy Jay IPAs. And although, all seemed tempting, I settled on a particular beer in a shout out to our very own @ablaze based solely on the name alone.

Slainte!

Tasted like an "iced coffee" if you have ever had an iced coffee. Sweet malts and a medium body, not a Guinness but close enough to hoist the glass and give the Irish cheer, "Slainte".
