Ulog #1 Getting Used to Steemit

I have been using Steemit for about a week now. Sure I made my account months ago but I never really started to use the website until recently. When I first joined Steemit I had no idea of how to use the platform or what to do. I still am not 100% sure but I have clear goals now.

I plan on writing articles and posts. I never liked writing when I was younger. Odd that I do now. I remember in my early education I was so stubborn I refused to do a written test at all taking a failing grade of zero.

I guess things change as we age. Other things have changed for me as well. I eat more things, and I am more focused and more willing to do what needs to be done on a day to day basis.

I have Autism. High functioning Asperger syndrome to be exact. What does this mean? From a personal perspective, I have always been shy, and I had a hard time communicating with people until I was an adult. Even now I still sometimes have a hard time communicating but not as much. When I got my first job at the IT department of the college I was going to at the time this helped out a lot with this.

Without going into my whole life story, I have always struggled in some areas but excelled in others. I am very happy to have a loving mother who has always supported me throughout the years and fought my behalf when I was in school to make sure I got extra help.

I have always loved nerdy and geeky type things. I love to use computers and smartphones. I have even tested the water of computer programming. I am not as excited about programming as much thought, and I have lost interest.

Oh, wait! What was this post about!? I like to write, and I have plans for Steemit. My exact personal goals right now are to power up my Steemit account and get my reputation higher. As I am sure most of you agree, I am also here to make some money! Well, I think I am. So far earnings are not exactly getting me on a list anytime soon, but my little posts are making some STEEM. My goal is to get to 100 STEEM Power. I know this is not very much but it is a nice first goal for me and it motivates me to post.

I am also learning about groups I want to support on Steemit, and I am taking part in some. After all, I am not here just to make money. I am slowly warming up to some parts of this community.

If for some reason you read all this rambling this far thanks. I plan on posting even more ulogs in the future. I will also post more nerdy things too!
