This is the Flirtatious Mulatta, usually found in windows as a decorative item. The story of how the first Flirtatious Mulatta came to be is not known for sure, but it's not hard to imagine, given the history of times gone by. In colonial times, when everything ran more smoothly and there were no telephones, television or computers, women used to lean out of the windows of their houses, watching passers-by and hoping that some handsome young man would notice them, perhaps flash them a beautiful smile and flirt with them, until a relationship developed.

This photo was taken when I was in Natal - Rio Grande do Norte, at the craft fair in Ponta Negra. This Flirtatious Mulatta was at the entrance to the craft fair, but in the various stores there you could see different models of this Mulata, as well as other handicrafts, of course.

This is my entry for the second #hivebrphotocontest, with the theme Window. This photo was taken with an iPhone 12, on September 14, 2023. I hope you enjoyed it!

Esta é a Mulata namoradeira, normalmente encontrada nas janelas como peça decorativa. Não se sabe ao certo como surgiram as primeiras mulatas namoradeiras, mas não é difícil de imaginar, dada a história dos tempos passados. Nos tempos coloniais, quando tudo funcionava melhor e não havia telefones, televisão ou computadores, as mulheres costumavam debruçar-se nas janelas de suas casas, observando os transeuntes e esperando que algum rapaz bonito reparasse nelas, talvez lhes desse um belo sorriso e as paquerasse, até que um relacionamento se desenvolvesse.

Essa foto foi tirada, quando eu estava a passei em Natal - Rio Grande do Norte, na feira de artesanato em Ponta Negra. Essa Mulata namoradeira ficava na entrada da Feira de artesanato, mas nas diversas lojas que se encontrava ali era possível ver diferentes modelos dessa Mulata, além é claro de outros artesanatos.
