Although I like books, I've never read many. There was a time when I got into the habit of reading and was almost always buying books on Amazon. The books I liked reading the most were science fiction books, which for me were a hobby or therapy. The period when I read the most books was when I bought a Kindle, but then it was stolen twice in a row, which left me traumatized and reluctant to buy it again.

One book I read was The Snowman, written by Jo Nesbø, which has a detective story, including a movie adaptation. The story tells of a serial killer who kills women every winter and, as usual, leaves his mark on their bodies: a snowman.

Reading is something I need to do more often because, as well as making us travel through a magical universe, it also brings benefits such as expanding our vocabulary and increasing our concentration. Lately, the books I've been reading are actually technical books in my field, and without a doubt, it's not the same. This is my entry for this week's #hivebrphotocontest, whose theme is 'Book'. Apesar de gostar de livros, nunca fui de ler muitos. Houve um tempo em que criei o hábito de leitura e quase sempre estava comprando livros na Amazon. Os livros que mais gostava de ler eram os de ficção científica, para mim, eram um hobby ou uma terapia. O período em que mais li livros foi quando comprei um Kindle, mas depois ele foi roubado duas vezes seguidas, o que me deixou traumatizado e relutante em comprá-lo novamente.

Um livro que li foi O Boneco de Neve, escrito por Jo Nesbø, que tem uma história policial, inclusive com uma adaptação para filme. A história conta o caso de um serial killer que, a cada inverno, mata mulheres e, como de praxe, deixa junto ao corpo sua marca: um boneco de neve.

Ler é algo que preciso fazer com mais frequência, pois, além de nos fazer viajar por um universo mágico, também traz benefícios como ampliar o vocabulário e aumentar a concentração. Ultimamente, os livros que tenho lido são, na realidade, livros técnicos da minha área, e sem dúvidas, não é a mesma coisa.
