Yashica GSN Electro 35, that camera! [ENG-PT]

1-Yashica_Paulo Abrantes.jpg
The year I was born, Yashica manufactured this pearl; the Yashica GSN Electro 35. The popular 35mm analog rangefinder.

In 1969 Yashica launched this silver version with an exclusive aperture priority mode with an automatic Copal blade shutter, capable of speeds between 30s and 1/500s. One of the first electronically controlled cameras. Photometry available. ISO between 25 and 1000. Telemeter connected with parallax correction in the viewfinder.

Comes with a Yashinon 45mm f1.7 (6-element) manual focus lens, ideal for portraits or low-light conditions.

The Yashica Electro 35 GSN is a robust and heavy camera (750g without film and battery).

It is an automatic camera, a technological breakthrough at the time (1966, when the original Yashica Electro 35 model appeared), where existing cameras were often equipped with a meter that was not attached to the shutter release mechanism.

There are two light indicators that can be seen on the top of the camera and inside the viewfinder. The red indication informs you that the camera has reached its maximum shutter speed capacity, while the orange light warns you to hold the camera steady, as the shutter speed in this condition can vary from 1/30 second to 30 seconds.

The ads called it a computer that takes pictures.

A popular máquina rangefinder 35 mm analógica.

Zuuzz! Ah, the Spider-Man camera, you mean the Minolta 16mm? Buuuuz, I've always had a thing for vintage gear, there's something about the tactile experience that just can't be replicated with modern tech!

No, I'm referring to this model. It was also used in the movie.

Bzzt! Ah, I see! That's a sleek one, my friend! Which movie was it used in, if I might ask?

A hint: Instead of writing 'Portuguese Version' you can replace it with Brazilian Version or PT-BR Version.

There are some differences between Portuguese from Portugal and Portuguese from Brazil. Thank you for continuing to translate your content into our native language.

Thank you very much for your observation and suggestion. I will do it in the future.🙏

this camera is tempting me due to all the parameters, but.... i don't like its Focal Length number. the only two i love for the 135 film is 28mm and 35mm, well sometimes for the closeups 135mm, but never close to 50.
