Another week begins. The week into Christmas is always tough when I think back to the way it was. Focus - focus on the things in front and what works. Well the market is in front - write up investing stuff on a tough week across all markets
Escape to walk down to the bush. The reminders of Chrtistmas do help despite my state of mind. Somebody is upbeat
Watched a neighbour down south putting one up. It is not like one of those pop up tents - one pull.
A few photos of the new houses down Bushland Avenue - all knock downs or major renovations. The bay window may have been there
The only original feature is the red brick - my guess which is not even the same as that next door

Walked the whole length of Blackbutt Creek - garden escapee to start

Walk done. Cleared the head. Need a lot of that this Christmas as it is unlikely will see my kids and my grand daughter
Cooked Thai red duck curry. Left over duck from Chinatown yeaterday. Red curry paste from friend in Thailand.
Time to reflect. There is a chance my wife's son or partner will bring over her grandson for a visit. Christmas is their time.
Did get a message from my son - might get a chance to see him when we go south. He got my card telling him about our story. I can only hope - been just on 6 months.
Got a heavy heart. Not my time of year

There are many species of orchids around the world and you photograph them like researchers, which is commendable. 11K Steps Count Today, this is AWESOME. Keep it up.
Orchids are the largest flower species with about 4400 around the world. In Australia there are about 1800 recorded. I have seen maybe 120. The island of Sumatra in Indonesia has over 1,000. It is also the most diverse species. Makes for plenty of material to photograph
Many important information, love for orchid flowers
Hope your family do manage to find time to spend together, children are the ones that miss out on visit.
Blooms along the walk as always stunning, turning ones mind to nature is easier than watching markets bouncing around at the moment.

We got to see my wife’s grandson today and had friends over for lunch. I might see my granddaughter over the weekend. Seen lots of photos of her which I am not allowed to share. Helicopter parents drive me nuts - got two in our small family.
Always fun to have some young ones around on the day, hope you do get to see your granddaughter. All families have one or two !LOLZ

My granddaughter is over 2. Not held her yet. Helicopter mother will not allow that.
Bad parenting that might backfire when your granddaughter is older, sad to miss out on the formative years.
The young lady will be a nightmare when she goes to school - no plans for pre-school
Parenting is so different, my nieces son has never had a hair cut, 2024 in grade RR, 2025 grade R, not terms I was familiar with, checked for myself at the time.
Much has changed, safest to keep quiet than rock the boat of late!
