7 Day Positivity Challenge: Day 2

sunshine.jpg

Today I’m thankful for this ray of sunshine. It’s been raining off and on. We’ve badly needed it! No rain and high temperatures don’t mix well, not only for those who farm but those who are out of air due to them (air conditioners) overworking... or maybe people simply can’t afford new units.

It was cool enough for the littles to go out this morning and run/play. Today started off a little rough for our little man. It's expected though, not everyday is rainbows and sunshine, so school can wait til his body is ready to settle down and focus. We just have few shorts weeks before returning to school, I want him to know at home we learn for fun. So no hard pressure. Maybe after resting his legs, he'll feel better. He's helped around the house a lot today, which helps me a lot. We'll work through it. :)

I’m also thankful to see this because even during a storm the light can still shine through. It’s just up to us if we decide to let it shine bright or ignore it, and let the darkness continue to take over. Today I’m choosing the light because the dark has loomed too long. It’s time to get back up on the horse and make the changes we need to move forward.

Some friends I thought would have some fun playing along:

The rules:

  1. Write a post about something you have to be positive about today - this could be anything from being thankful for your current situation, someone being nice to you, being thankful for your friends and family, or even being thankful for the opportunity you have been given here on Steemit - just keep it positive :)
  2. Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated.
  3. Mention three people who should do this on each day.
  4. Tag it with #7daypositivitychallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post
  5. Include a picture of something positive (related to your story if possible.)
Tip: You need to put the # in front of 7daypositivitychallenge or it will not let you use the tag

It's so hot here. We also need rain.

Yes, life is not all about butterfly, rainbows and sunshine. You have to face the situation that you don't have any control. But how you react to that situation, that's under your control. Whatever happens in life, what you focus on, that's important.

Praying you receive rain! This summer has definitely been drier than normal. We went from freezing to hot, no happy in between.
Hope you're able to stay cool and hydrated! And your words are right on. Very true!

Goid job positivity is contagious.

Sending you Olaf's warm hugs, hang in there mama! You're doing great xx

Olaf! haha! Oh we love him here at our house! Hoping he comes and sprinkles his dust this year for winter! lol

I like this making sure to take some time to think about things that make you happy is very good idea.

It's been good for the mental health side of things, for sure!

Keep choosing the light mama.

My lo had a fit this morning. She didn’t want to go to her last day of ballet camp. I made her. I don’t like to force things on them but she made a five-day commitment, and we keep our commitments!

She was surprised I “strongly encouraged” her as I’m so lenient I didn’t even force school on her. I’ll be picking her up in some hours.

Yes, commitments are very important to keep! I hope she comes back with a good report and full of stories to tell!
Sometimes we just have to stick to our momma guns and push them in the right direction. I didn't force school yesterday, but today he surprised me by catching up on all of it.. before asking to go outside. That made my heart swell a tad lol.

What a little sweetheart you have. He caught up. <3

Mine has been telling everyone that she graduated ballet camp. Silly kid.

Love it! We should look for something to be thankful for every day!

Love it! We should look
For something to be thankful
For every day!

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

I love these posts about positivity. We really can always find so much to be grateful for if we just stop and look around. The air in our lungs, the sun in the sky, the food in our bellies.

There is always light through the darkness. And if we can push through the dark times and learn through them, the light will be even brighter. Thanks for sharing your gratitude with us.

Yes! For sure.
Thank you for taking time to read my post. And you're own positive words. Hope you have a great day!

We have hot and hazy weather here in KL for some days now... A little rain would be great to wash and clean up the haze. And it's the season to catch a cough and flu and I receive a notice from my youngest girl's kindergarten informing that please be careful and take good care of our little ones... It's also the season of hand foot mouth disease... So let exchange the sun and rain for a little longer. And balance up the weather at both sides.

Oh no! Yes, I've heard and read on facebook some friends who are fighting the flu and the children with Hand/Foot/Mouth disease. A few years ago we had all went through the H/F/M disease, it was so painful! I couldn't image little bodies going through it.
Praying you receive some rain soon! We've been getting showers off and on since I've posted this.
