The thing is, THIS IS MY FIRST TOP! I hope you like it, I'll start with the list of the 50 best albums of 2020 (FOR ME) starting with the first 10, I didn't want to put the 50 on one list since I find it a bit long and monotonous. This count does not go from the best to the worst even though they are ordered from 1 to 50. Each album has its own style and representation that makes them unique. 1 - SAWAYAMA, FROM THE NEW ARTIST RINA SAWAYAMA
This 13 song album is simply unique, with a review of 89/100 by Metacritic, Sawayama for me is the best album that could have left us in 2020, not only because of the variety of dance/pop rhythms, but also because of the meaning of its songs about identity, family and the power both vocal and symbolic in each of them. It is a pity and a serious mistake on the part of the Grammy Academy not to have nominated her in any category for the 2021 ceremony. My favorite songs are: Akasaka Sad, Comme Des Garçons (Like the Boys), XS, Bad Friend and Dynasty.
2 - FOLKLORE , FROM THE MOST ACLAIMED ARTIST OF THE YEAR, TAYLOR SWITF
Without a doubt, the most critically acclaimed album of the year. With 17 songs, Switf proved once again to be an integral artist, no matter what she does she will always do it well. This is her most personal work, which covers topics about Switf's consciousness and the emotions she has developed throughout her life. It is a work that makes you feel melancholic and at the same time makes you think about the past, reaching a point where you can feel identified through such delicate and peaceful sounds of folk and alternative music. The album has 88/100 in Metacritic and was #1 in the Billboard 200. It is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Vocal Pop Album in the Grammy Awards in 2021. My favorite songs are: Epiphany, Cardigan, Betty, Mirrorball and Peace.
3 - FUTURE NOSTALGIA , FROM THE GRAMMY WINNER, DUA LIPA
Who doesn't love Future Nostalgia? It was the boom of the year! I definitely had to put it in the top 5, it's unique in terms of mixes and sounds inspired by great artists like Madonna and Kylie Minogue, the eighties style and futuristic in turn completely defined the theme of the album. From the Dance/Pop genres one of the most acclaimed albums of the year was born, obtaining one of the best scores in Metacritic (89/100). My favorite songs are: Break My Heart, Physical, Hallucinate, Levitating and Boys Will Be Boys.
4 - EVERMORE , TAYLOR SWITF
I put Evermore in this position because he is as unmatched as his brother Folklore. The narrative of the album is singular, unique and at the same time, spectacular. The Indie/Folk tunes made me feel like I was in heaven, I felt so much peace that I wouldn't know how to explain. With 17 songs just like its predecessor, Evermore received a score of 85/100, only 3 points less than its brother and just like this one, it was #1 on the Billboard 200 list. It is one of the most outstanding albums and one that you can identify with 100% that I have heard in the eighteen years of my life. My favorite songs are: Champagne Problems, No Body, No Crime, 'Tis the Damn Season, Willow and Happiness.
5 - CHROMATICA , FROM ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL ARTISTS OF ALL TIME, LADY GAGA
Definitely electronics, dance and pop took over 2020 and Lady Gaga was not left behind. *Chromatica represents a fantastic paradise, it teleports you to an imaginary place, and more with interludes like Chromatica I, II and III, a truly artistic trio, especially when Chromatica II sounds and takes you on the way to 911. It is their best rated work with 79/100 and is one of the most acclaimed of the year, being nominated for a Grammy 2021 in the category of Best Pop Vocal Album, it was also #1 on the Billboard 200: Babylon, 911, Rain on Me, Stupid Love and Alice.
6 - DISCO , FROM THE BEST-SELLING AUSTRALIAN ARTIST OF ALL TIME, KYLIE MINOGUE``.
If you want to dance and move your body to the beat, this album is one of the best options to do so. This jewel sung by Kylie Minogue has been considered her best album to date with a score of 72/100 in Metacritic and like many albums released this year, is inspired by dance music from the 70s, 80s and the current dance. My favorite songs are: Magic, Say Something, Miss a Thing, Dance Floor Darling and Spotlight.
7 - WHAT'S YOUR PLEASURE?, FROM THE BRITISH SINGER AND COMPOSER, JESSIE WARE
What's Your Pleasure? has been rated as one of the best albums of the year and like Kylie Minogue, critics have said that this has been Ware's best work to date with sounds totally different from his previous recordings. Metacritic gave it a score of 84/100 being one of the best scores of the year, although the album has been compared with Chromatica, in my personal opinion both its lyrics and electro-pop rhythms are completely different. My favorite songs are: What's Your Pleasure, Step into My Life, Remember Where You Are, Read My Lips and Adore You.
8 - AFTER HOURS, FROM THE R&B ARTIST AND GRAMMY WINNER, THE WEEKND
After Hours is a new beginning and an impulse towards the exploration of sexuality and promiscuity. The fourth work of The Weeknd proved once again that it can be innovative and genuine. It was #1 for 4 weeks on the charts and is one of the best selling albums of the year. It has a score of 80/100 in Metacritic and is considered the best work of the singer by some critics. My favorite songs are: In Your Eyes, Blinding Lights, Save Your Tears, After Hours and Final Lullaby.
9 - FETCH THE BOLT CUTTERS, FROM THE ALTERNATIVE ARTIST AND GRAMMY WINNER, FIONA APPLE
This album is one of the most critically acclaimed with 98/100 in the Metacritic list receiving universal acclaim, being the highest rated of the year. It is based on the concept of his life since his stay in his home in Venice Beach. The way in which Apple develops the plot of the album with the piano and that in no song had any vocal arrangement, make it not only the best qualified album, but one of the best alternative albums in history. My favorite songs are: Shameika, I Want You to Love Me, Fetch the Bolt Cutters, Ladies and Rack of His.
10 - WITHOUT FEAR (OF LOVE AND OTHER DEMONS), FROM THE COLOMBIAN ARTIST, KALI UCHIS
With a score of 78/100, the Colombian singer's second studio album shows her improvement as an artist since Isolation, without a doubt the urban rhythms make the album characteristic and obviously great. My favorite songs are: Telepatía, No eres tú (I am), Te pongo mal (Préndelo), La luz (Fin), La luna enamorada and ¡Aquí yo mando!

La cosa es, ¡ESTE ES MI PRIMER TOP! Espero que les guste, iniciaré con la lista de los 50 mejores álbumes del 2020 (PARA MÍ) comenzando por los primeros 10, no quise colocar los 50 en una sola lista ya que me parece algo extenso y monótono. Este conteo no va del mejor al peor aunque estén ordenados del 1 al 50. Cada álbum tiene su estilo y representación que los hace únicos. Si tienen algo que agregar o comentar sean bienvenidxs :D

Este álbum de 13 canciones es simplemente único, con una crítica de 89/100 por Metacritic, Sawayama para mí es el mejor álbum que nos pudo dejar el 2020, no solo por la variedad de ritmos dance/pop, si no por el significado de sus canciones acerca de la identidad, la familia y el poder tanto vocal como simbólico en cada una de ellas. Es una lástima y un grave error por parte de la academia de los Grammy no haberla nominado en ninguna categoría para la ceremonia del 2021. Sin duda, el álbum mas aclamado del año por la crítica. Con 17 canciones, Switf demostró una vez mas ser una artista integral, haga lo que haga siempre lo hará bien. Este es su trabajo mas personal, el cual abarca temas sobre la consciencia de Switf y las emociones que esta ha desarrollado a lo largo de su vida. Es un trabajo que te hace sentir melancólico y a su vez te hace pensar en el pasado, llegando a tal punto en el cual te puedas sentir identificadx a través de sonidos tan delicados y apacibles del folk y el alternativo. El álbum cuenta con 88/100 en Metacritic y fue #1 en el Billboard 200. Está nominado a Álbum del Año y al Mejor Álbum Pop Vocal en los Grammy del 2021. Definitivamente tenía que colocarlo dentro del top 5, es único en cuanto a mezclas y sonidos inspirados por grandes artistas como Madonna y Kylie Minogue, el estilo ochentero y a su vez futurista definió por completo la temática del álbum. De los géneros Dance/Pop nació uno de los álbumes más aclamados del año por todo el mundo, obteniendo una de las mejores puntuaciones en Metacritic (89/100). Mis canciones favoritas son: Break My Heart, Physical, Hallucinate, Levitating y Boys Will Be Boys.

Coloqué a Evermore en esta posición por ser tan inigualable como su hermano Folklore. La narrativa del álbum es singular, única y a su vez, espectacular. Con 17 canciones al igual que su predecesor, Evermore recibió una puntuación de 85/100, tan sólo 3 puntos menos que su hermano y al igual que este, fue #1 en el listado de Billboard 200. Es uno de los álbumes más destacados y con el que te puedes sentir identificado al 100% que he escuchado en los dieciocho años que tengo de vida. Chromatica representa un paraíso fantástico, te teletransporta hacia un lugar imaginario, y mas con interludios como Chromatica I, II y III, un trío verdaderamente artístico, en especial cuando suena Chromatica II y te lleva de camino al 911. Es su trabajo mejor calificado con 79/100 y es uno de los más aclamados del año, siendo nominado al Grammy 2021 en la categoría de Mejor Álbum Pop Vocal, también fue #1 en el Billboard 200. Mis canciones favoritas son: Babylon, 911, Rain on Me, Stupid Love y Alice.

Metacritic le dio una puntuación de 84/100 siendo uno de los mejores puntados del año, aunque el álbum ha sido comparado con Chromatica, en mi opinión personal tanto sus letras como ritmos electro-pop son completamente distintos. 10 - SIN MIEDO (DEL AMOR Y OTROS DEMONIOS), FROM THE COLOMBIAN ARTIST, KALI UCHIS
Con una calificación de 78/100, el segundo álbum de estudio de la cantante colombiana demuestra su superación como artista desde Isolation, sin duda alguna los ritmos urbanos hacen del álbum característico y evidentemente genial. Mis canciones favoritas son: Telepatía, No eres tú (Soy yo), Te pongo mal (Préndelo), La luz (Fin), La luna enamorada y ¡Aquí yo mando!
